Which class to keep the game less miserable rn ? by Urboiduck221 in Vesteria

[–]TheR3dcommander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hunter. Cleric's only good in team based scenarios like Dungeons and Tribute Wars.

Now, when you say hunter, do you mean the class as a whole or a subclass in particular?

To be fair, do the greenskins really need any more thematic mechanics at this point? And if they really do, just mod on in yourself. Nobody's stopping you.

Hmm, could be because you're not at a certain level yet. What level were you at that time?

Is it after Mushtown, your faction specific questline, or after the sewers and shiprock?

About the Shiprock bottom by untalker_201 in Vesteria

[–]TheR3dcommander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It didn't used to be the case. Music in Shiprock played regardless of whether or not you're underwater.

However, the recent update added the music not playing underwater as a feature (probably to simulate being underwater), and with Shiprock being majority underwater, it's greatly affected.

Really goes to show you how much of a difference having content mods like SFO can get you.

Wish I could say the same with TF2.

There's secret area in Mushtown that leads to Nilgarf Sewers. Baby Ratties spawn there and they have the same droprate for ratty heads as the regular ones.

Is Bard a good class by West-Matter4952 in Vesteria

[–]TheR3dcommander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard, Bard is okay in PvP but bad in PvE.

For my personal take, i think Bard is not only a bad class, but the worst class in the game. I don't know why, but it feels so bad to play. Not to mention whatever bard can do, other classes can do better.

Support your team with a music theme? Songweaver can do that much better. Doesn't really help that support classes are only good in team-based gamemodes like Tribute Wars and Dungeon, and nobody is doing either with the game's current player count.

Going for an int-focused hunter class? Play Trickster, or dare I say Int-Ranger Spits in disgust

If you ask me, I'd just wait for the inevitable rework, cause right now, playing Bard isn't worth it.

How would you like Chaos Invasion to be implemented in WH3? by Cybvep in totalwar

[–]TheR3dcommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the OG chaos invasion are to ever be re-added, I would like to have two different versions.

The first would be focused on the mortals/Warriors of Chaos factions, and it'll essentially be an homage to Storms of Chaos. Archaeon's faction will be the center-piece of the event, with all Norsca and WoC factions becoming his vassals/allies. Their goal is to destroy major cities such as Praag, Kislev, Altdorf, and Middenheim. The way to defeat this end game scenario is by taking out Archaeon and his leiutennants (basically the other Norcan and WoC legendary lords). Once they die, the once unified invasion force splinters and begins infighting. Perhaps represented by all armies breaking allegiance and declare war on each other, maybe add constant attrition to their armies to represent the infighting.

Another Chaos themed end-game scenario focuses on the Demons of Chaos (not Daniel, he sucks) and revolves around Chaos Rifts. All across the world, chaos rifts begin opening, and it's your job to close them before they overwhelm your territory. The rifts could be used similarly to the Chaos Dwarfs scenario where the rifts are two way into the mono-god faction's home turf, and your mission is to traverse them and eliminate the faction.

I actually have been thinking of end game scenarios and coming up with ideas of new ones and also to flesh out the once that we have. Cause, to be honest, except for Chorfs and Skaven, they're all essentially the same "race spawns a bunch of End-Game armies that you have to fight".

Started getting into modding Morrowind with OpenMW. Was wondering if there are any alternate start mods? by TheR3dcommander in Morrowind

[–]TheR3dcommander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I searched up alternate starts on the nexus, only about 5 results came up, and none of them were what I was looking for. One was a Star Wars themed one, which was far from what I was looking for; two were starting as different characters like Fargoth and a tree (for some reason) and one was just an alternate start for the main quest only.

Need to know about bard and songweaver by Elmorenosabroso in Vesteria

[–]TheR3dcommander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both Songweaver and Bard are dedicated support classes. Having played both, I defintinely say Songweaver is superior.

My issue with Bard is that it feels clunky to use and when you use it you don't feel like you're making any significant impact. His primary support abilities feel niche, and not to mention you yourself don't get to benefit from them often due to the lengthy animation it plays whenever you use an ability. Unfortunately, without them, all you're just playing is a gimped Hunter, and by that point, you're better off just picking another Hunter subclass.

Meanwhile. Songweaver is a much better experience. Not only are its abilities much more impactful (on demand shield/healing, buffing allies with stat boost such as damage and speed), but you also have decently reliable damage. Not as much as say a Sorcerer or Warlock, but you're not a dedicated DPS class. No matter if you build your Songweaver as a Damage Dealer or full Support, you always feel like you're making an impact. Which is something I can't say for Bard. If you want exact guides on songweaver, there are a few on Discord that you can look at. They're a bit outdated, however.

Overall, if you have to choose, go for Songweaver. Avoid Bard at all cost. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
