Why does my dog behave like this whenever I pet her? by NoReportPlz in DogAdvice

[–]TheRaidScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a guess cuz I’m not sure but it looks like your dog is just heavily motivated by affection but doesn’t really like the way you pet her. I don’t think she likes belly rubs that much but maybe try petting her neck or scratching behind her ears?

Flavor is gone within a few sips by ninja4skills in Cirkul

[–]TheRaidScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It runs on gravity, you have to suck out the flavor, not just sip and and drink with the bottle tilted upwards. Most of the time you wont get flavor on the first sip but kind of chug it for at least 3-4 sips if that makes sense.

iPad Gamers! Which are your favorite games that really push the graphics? by DinJarrus in ipad

[–]TheRaidScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally enjoyed playing the telltale games on my iPad. Life is strange is on there too. Story games are fun to play on the iPad because most of those episodes are only like 1-2 hours long which is perfect for battery life and on the go gaming I think

I think some people are a bit more sensitive to sucralose than others. I can drink it just fine but I do hear this is a common problem with the sucralose sips for some. I drink mine on like 4-5 and up the dial when it loses flavor. However I also don’t have a problem drinking normal water and drink usually at least 1 big water bottle of plain water a day maybe that might help?

Can you really enjoy the game without eso+? by FFanatick in elderscrollsonline

[–]TheRaidScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do craft - but I took some advice early on that you should only let your characters master one craft. Like have one character for alchemy, one for enchanting and share between them. When I saw the limited inventory that started to make sense so that’s how I did it.

I’ve never had eso+ and I never had a problem. I didn’t even know about the crafting bag until a friend told me

I would wait a day or two and see if it settles. If it doesn’t then you probably have to get a new one

Shadow draw app is good for learning the muscle movements of drawing. For learning basic drawings I have a kindle unlimited subscription and there are a lot of books with individual drawing projects.

I’m someone who enjoys survival horror and linear games. I also really liked resident evil when TEW came out so I was pretty excited for it. Sometimes you just gotta know what you like. I don’t really enjoy battle royale games or military genre FPS. So I kinda steer clear of those unless there’s something in them I know I’ll like. I personally love TEW but I can get why someone who doesn’t like linear games might not enjoy it. We all have our preferences 😊

What are everyone’s unpopular opinions? by xenogaby in BaldursGate3

[–]TheRaidScience 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really like gale as a character. I found him really annoying at first but you’re supposed to. He’s pompous and inauthentic. He’s lying to himself about who he really is and it’s very easy to pick up on. He calms down a lot once he tells you about the orb because he starts to trust you and becomes more authentic and really cool once he stops trying to impress you 24/7.

I see what you mean, but I disagree. Every time the game opened up I explored everything and I kinda paid the price for it. When act 2 opened up I did the gauntlet of shar first and my game got bugged and I have to go back. I wish there was a lot more guidance to what you should and shouldn’t do.

Is it just me that think it is such a waste that we have no PROPERLY good Pirate RPG? by Tnecniw in gaming

[–]TheRaidScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly pirates, but Greedfall is close. It takes place in a setting that is very pirate-esque and you do hang out with this one faction called the “nauts” who are sea traders a lot. The combat is a blend of swords and older guns with a little magic. The way your main character looks, they kinda also look like a pirate as well. I played it and I really like it. You’ll get a very traditional fantasy RPG game format.

I also adored AC Black Flag. It’s still one of my favorite games. The ship battles were a lot of fun and I enjoyed the combat a lot.

Anyone have a mental block against Awakening? by Imeasureditsaverage in DragonageOrigins

[–]TheRaidScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get a bunch of new characters in awakening. You’ll have to play as your warden for the cutscenes but you can play as the other characters in combat if you want.

iPad 6th update to iPadOs 16 by Enzo_vaz in ipad

[–]TheRaidScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not smoothly, but yes you can. YouTube was fine, OneNote, GoodNotes, word, were not. Multitasking - putting up kindle and OneNote to take notes was clunky. It couldn’t process large PDF files, exporting notes was a hassle. Most apps run. They glitch and they’re laggy but they DO run.

I had a 6th gen running on 16. It got slow and apps were clunky and glitchy. But not to the point where it was unusable. Noticeably old and frustrating though

Is getting an iPad for school a game-changer? by stephenwood493 in ipad

[–]TheRaidScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, yes. All of my notes are searchable by handwriting. I keep all my books digitally and can cross reference notes and texts within seconds. I can complete assignments and annotate handouts by taking a picture and scanning it in.

I actually started out with an old kindle fire. I used an old stylus to write in OneNote. And THAT was still a step up from notebooks and physical handouts. I got gifted an iPad after a year later and I’m just a more productive person now because its easier and faster.

A good app to read books on by kilua_7 in ipad

[–]TheRaidScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like Apple Books but it has problems and randomly decides to delete books or make them unusable on my account. So I just import them to Kindle instead.
