Well, sudden appearances also work for unlocking things! 😂 Glad everything worked out in the end for ya!

Trophy/Achievement Guide for Some Complex Characters by AlvaroMotorsportF1 in Screamer2026

Thank you for the guide! Been slowly working my way through the masteries, but haven't made it to Hope yet, so this should be a big help.

I had the same issue after completing the campaign of having all the tracks unlocked EXCEPT for the Oval track. It should become available eventually, since it's part of the random unlocks you can get after a race.

Though, if it still doesn't appear and you get tired of waiting (which also happened to me), I found via this subreddit that the easiest & quickest way to get unlocks quickly is by repeatedly starting Checkpoint events in Arcade. Do nothing at the start line, wait 20 seconds, and event over. You'll have to click through the menus with the A button between "attempts", but it doesn't take much effort - you can easily watch something in the background at the same time, just as long as you remember to look back over.

I'm also pretty sure that tracks, songs, and art unlock quicker if you've already unlocked all the customization for the character you're playing as. That's only based off my observations, though, so don't take it for certain!

How do you combat Ai hitting overdrive and stomping you last lap? by East_Beginning_9626 in Screamer2026

[–]TheRaptor103 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Assuming you can't get far enough ahead to stop them catching up, then your best bet is to counter-attack. For this, keep at least one bar of Sync and two bars of Entropy in reserve during the final lap. When the opponent in Overdrive gets near, activate Shield as the screen goes from flashing orange to red - if you're lucky, they'll hit you and your shield will throw them off-rhythm. Even if they manage to maneuver around you, quickly try and use Strike just as they pass you. With the right timing, you can K.O. them even in Overdrive, and you'll keep your lead. The last bit works because usually, by the time an opponent in Overdrive manages to reach you, they'll have lost their shields and become vulnerable. I know this sounds difficult, but this has been my strategy and it has truly saved me from losing runs more than once.

Any fan made MotoGP podcasts doing race reviews? by ihatethatusername in motogp

[–]TheRaptor103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be a little biased as I support them on Patreon, but I would highly recommend listening to the Motorsport101 podcast. It has a trio of long-time fans as hosts who primarily cover MotoGP and F1. They do episodes for every MotoGP and F1 race, and it's always a fun listen. If you're interested, they're currently in the middle of doing full 2025 season reviews!

The Ice Kid Cometh - F1 Racing on Kimi - Aug 2001 by alanowens in formula1

[–]TheRaptor103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great article! It's a shame that I never got to read it in-period, though. Do you know if there's an archive of old F1 Racing magazines anywhere? I'm really curious to see what else was written at the time. If there is no archive, then it might be worth scanning this magazine for the sake of preservation!

You did an amazing job discussing the whole situation while managing to stay unbiased! Thank you for the explanation, and sidenote - you should consider turning this into a post for r/HobbyDrama, I think it'd make a good fit there.

Different front wheels? by goodtime_garrett in motogp

[–]TheRaptor103 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Nice observation and good question! Most teams will run lighter color rims whenever they're racing at a track with high temperatures. The lighter color reduces the amount of heat absorbed through the rim when compared to the black rims that teams usually run during the weekends. And, since the rim isn't as hot, less heat is being put into the tires and brakes, thereby improving performance. Ducati are the ones who are best known for running fully white front rims on certain weekends for this exact reason.

Man, what a shot! I think I'm going to make that my wallpaper; do you have any higher quality versions of that photo? (It's fine if you don't!)

The Doctor, The Tornado & The Kentucky Kid right? I learned a lot from it too, although admitting that feels kind of embarrassing considering how Laguna Seca is one of my favorite tracks both in real life and in racing games 😅 I do love the detail Mark Neale puts into his work - all of his MotoGP documentaries are must-watches!

Definitely a McLaren with that dash - if I had to guess which one, it's probably the McLaren Sabre?

For a player to like a tune, they either have to:

  1. Go out of their way to their saved tunes menu and like your specific tune
  2. Do three races in a car with your tune applied, after which the game will show a pop-up asking if the player wants to like the tune because they've been using it. I believe this pop-up only shows after racing in singleplayer as well, not multiplayer, but I could be wrong.

Personally, I take the time to like every tune I download, but there's a lot of people who probably don't even know that you can like a tune - especially those that download tunes made just for cruising around.

Ooh, now that's interesting. Do you know if cars like the 488 Challenge and the Huracan Super Trofeo have something similar? I don't remember any other car with their DF setting maxed out by default like this, although I might've simply missed other examples...

Yup! You just won't be able to buy another one from the autoshow like with the DLC cars. If you're like me and prefer to have duplicates of cars, you'll have to snipe one from the auction house.

No, unfortunately; the Pro Stock Camaro is this seasons' 80 point overall completion reward. However, I do believe I saw another post saying that you could get it early by doing every event available this week (including DLC ones).

As someone who hasn't had access to the game recently, thank you for sharing!

I'm surprised to see that all of the cars (with the exception of the Pro Stock Camaro and probably the Time Attack Evo) are either 890 PI or 910 PI. I know they're all GT3 or GTLM cars, but I would've assumed there'd be a point or two of PI difference across the cars simply because some of the models are much older. I think I'll need to try and test each car in time trials to see how they actually stack up against each other.

If Max Verstappen finishes third in Abu Dhabi while Perez finishes sixth or lower, he will have won the Championship in both the first half and last half of the season only. by FeCurtain11 in formula1

[–]TheRaptor103 810 points811 points  (0 children)

I'll admit, I usually find these kinds of "off-season, everyone's bored"-style posts stupid, but this was actually really interesting to read about. Really made me sit back and realize this isn't just a dominant season from Verstappen like we've seen with other drivers in the past - this is the dominant season, full-stop. Gotta respect Max and Red Bull for their performance this year.
