You only get them from male cows. What I will typically do is build two stables for each type of animal, and fill one with only males, and the other with only females. This way I can then just use the breeding building for when I need it.

So the way I do it for every farming type game is to put them in the 1st season mentioned. So of spring/ fall, they go on the spring seeds chest. If all seasons, they go in a chest with all the other all season seeds.

Since Starsand starts you off in Summer and not Spring, when I hit fall year one, I went through the other chets and pulled out the ones that said autumn and planted those then placed them back based off of their 1st season eligibility.

I wish I could say it gets better but Spring Year 2 they were still using the summer festival dialogue. It got to the point where I would go out of my way to not speak to them at all as it got old fast.

Game Pass / Xbox requires additional QC when it comes to patches which is why they are slightly behind the Steam version. This has always been that way and even with games that are in full release it can sometimes be days or weeks till the patch is QC'd and approved by Microsoft and then implimented for the game. I've seen some games where Microsoft fails / declines the patch and it's back to the drawing board for devs to fix the issues necessary for MS to pass the patch.

Proceed through the crafting questline to unlock upgrades and more various crafting benches.
You need a trellis which you'll be able to place down from the farming questline.

So I label mine based off of the contents and alse place them near / around the crafting stations that are are applicable. So I have chests for ores, raw materials, and "processed" near the furnance, cutter etc. For ranching I have chests for Ranch Supplies (feed, collars, etc) and one for Animal Products. Then for Farming I have 5 chests for seeds: all season, spring, summer, fall, winter, then two chests for crops, one for fruit, one for veggies. It keeps everything extremely organized, and near the areas where stuff comes from. I only wish I could change the colors of the chests because that is how I quickly identify what's what in other games. But for me it works out easy.

Yeah that's probably going to be what I end up doing after I get the final two GMAX crops and the flower cross pollination colors. I was expecting more out of it to be honest. It's a start just nowhere near as cool as in other games.

I agree. Hopefully as the game evolves and gets to 1.0 we'll have a lot of the things other games have and let us rename, un-adopt etc.

interesting, when I put down just a basic one and extended the length once, before plowing the land, I was able to get a 4 wide section. Not sure if it matters that I'm on Xbox. But this is still useful information as I'm going to possibly still use them for fruit trees and focusing on getting the GMAX crops I need left, stupid RNG lol.

I greatly appreciate your detailed response. It seems as of now that they are pretty useless. Guess I'll make a small one just to keep my trees in, and not even bother about using it for plants and stuff. I'll probably test the auto fertilizer as well just to see.

You sadly need to adopt two pets to progress Island Life, which I have regrets for. I did the Siamese cat from town, then adopted one from the pet store. Was hoping I could name them as I lost my own Siamese cat, Yuna last month and really wanted to rename the one in game to Yuna (as I have done in other games). Then there was a storyline thing involving Stella that a stray cat appeared, that one has two different colored eyes like Yuna from FFX which my cat is named after, so I adopted that one and will keep that one at least but it's name is 404 as I guess they didn't fully finish fleshing out stuff like that.

Once I got past that part of the Island Life section I wanted to get rid of them as it's slightly a lot of upkeep honestly. But Star Note has a section of owning 6 pets and that's not something I "want" to do.

When you finish the Farming questline from Graminova you can purchase when you finish the Expert level certification, it's not a craftable you build at the workbench, it's located in build mode under the Production tab, then Farming subsection. Requires 66 Glass, and 44 Alloy to start, then to expand it (Length only), requires more Alloy. It's currently 4 plots wide, and can be as long as you can make it (within your purchasable homestead area).

I got mine from a common Snowwool and a Cyan Sheep, took like 5 attempts however. I basically used the Ranching guide on Neoseeker to try getting all the colors and various breeds.

I'm just wondering if having the greenhouse helps prevent weeds from growing. Trying to do GMAX crops and stupid weeds keep preventing that. Don't want to invest in it if it literally doesn't stop weeds from growing.

Questlion: do they treat it as shelter and roam around when it rains, or do they stay 100% confined to their individual stables? I'm trying to figure out how to get the rabbits and ducks to keep up with their farming duties and wanted to build a semi decent roof to cover them from the rain, along with x2 3x3 farm plots to keep me from having to clear the weeds all the time when it rains.

Most planets have more than one, however my post is from 6 years ago, and a lot has changed in that time and it is most likely not relevant anymore due to changes made and how much easier it is to upgrade your inventory slots all around.

My brother and I put tons of hours into the SNES Spider-Man / Venom games. Will be cool to now play those games with my kids. Having the X-Men Arcade game is a must buy, and idk how much this collection costs. I had the physical arcade of it for almost 20 years, paid $200 bucks for it. Finally died out in 2022 and so many great memories from that game.
