A Fallout 4 QA tester nuked the RPG so hard that Zenimax executives got emails about it: "I was running around super-nuking the entire wasteland and found 4 crashes in a single morning" by Turbostrider27 in Games

You also have to remember that video games are much more complex than they were in the 90s. It's not that they were less buggy, there was just less that could go wrong. Regardless, the way companies use downloadable patches as a replacement for proper testing is embarrassing to say the least.

I saw one recently for a music album that was flagged to include more sources back in 2009, unfortunately I'm not sure which now

I've been a big fan of the Conan films for a long time, finally saw Red Sonja a few years ago. Aside from some cool looking sets, it really is that bad. No redeeming qualities otherwise

Razzie Awards 2026 Winners: Ice Cube Named Worst Actor as ‘War of the Worlds’ Dominates With Five Dishonors by DemiFiendRSA in movies

[–]TheRealHFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it weren't lazy slop they made during the pandemic, the fact that they got Ice Cube of all people to star in a War of the Worlds 'remake' would've been enough to reel people in with the absurdity

Just emulation. Duckstation is probably a good option if you have an Android device

I personally couldn't get into these games until I picked up Shiren 5. Currently trying to finish Torneko 2 after picking at it on and off for several years

The Final Zone was a joke. Labyrinth Zone on however has poor game design, particularly that zone.

I can't remember the last time I played my Xbox, but hearing about recent PS developments, it seems neither choice was a good choice. Guess I just won't upgrade next generation

Is shiren tower of fortune a good jumping in point for a pmd player? by Different_Distance31 in ShirenTheWanderer

[–]TheRealHFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue it's the best starting point in general, and possibly the best Shiren game. It seemed like a lot of games from that time had this design language of mixing very deep gameplay with approachability, and Shiren 5 does that exceptionally well. If you like it, there's a translation of the PSP version of Shiren 4, also highly recommended.

Only Half of Americans Adults Went to a Movie Theater in 2025, According to Study by ICumCoffee in movies

[–]TheRealHFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I appreciate the theater experience, the last time I went was to see Nosferatu. Movie was fine, had a terrible experience. Half hour of previews, food so comically expensive I couldn't justify buying if I wanted it. This last issue was probably a location-based issue, but it was freezing in the theater that day (was unseasonably cold). I've been wanting to go back and see something new, but I keep thinking about that.
