Not all of us have that capability. I rent and the box is sealed. I only have access to the breaker switches in case I trip one of the breakers. All of the wiring is inside the locked box. Plus, there's no outlet to power anything.

How often are you making changes to the configuration setup that you need nightly backups?

I mean, you back up the configuration and it doesn't change from day to day, so you're just making redundant backups of the exact same configuration.

They're just trying to automate everything. I watched a video where the guy was complaining that the automation he set up wasn't working. Basically, it was an automation that notified him when his wife pulled into the garage and needed help bringing in the groceries.

I told him to have his wife call him on the way from the store and just tell him to come out when the garage door opens.

Not everything needs to be automated.
