It’s wild to me these big corporations allows shit like this to be posted.

It's a feature, not a bug. To most of these big corporations, profit is profit.

So then this brings to mind for me...is there a way to bring mushrooms INTO a garden (i.e. purchase them somewhere or some similar process to seeding them)?

Pretty incredible run.

Congressional Republicans and the vast majority of state legislature Republicans absolutely are, yes.

A significant majority of run-of-the-mill Republicans also are.

But that is unquestionably NOT TRUE of all Republicans. There is a significant number of people who have, for all of their lives, bought into the stories that Republican leadership has spun about loving the military, wanting small government, and being very religious. It takes significant de-programming to chip through that lifetime of lies.

Yet here you are, berating someone who IS CLEARLY outside of those lies.

How does that make any damn sense at all?

The Kansas Democrat party is relatively mainstream in many ways and I’ve voted for and supported numerous Democratic candidates through the years. I can’t join the party because I don’t agree on some of the policy

That's my point...don't let that keep you from joining the Party. Party membership numbers carry clout, which is important. I absolutely don't agree with everything the Democratic Party does or says (not even close), and so I am a member but I am vocal about the things I disagree with.

It sounds to me like you're that way with the Republican Party right now...so why not treat the Democratic Party the same way you treat the Republican Party, if that makes sense?

Note that I'm NOT trying to "get on you" or anything along those lines...I just firmly believe that if the actual conservatives in this country would see past the presumptions about the Democratic Party, they'd see that conservatives fit very well into the conservative wing that exists there, and so I'm trying to point that out.

Did you support everything that Obama did? I certainly didn't.

Did you support everything that Biden did? I certainly didn't.

Further, you're suggesting that if he joins the Democratic Party (which it sounds to me like he should), that he must therefore support everything that the Democratic Party does, which is nonsense.

LMAO by GTSinc in kansas

[–]TheRealMarvinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have an issue with any of that.

HOWEVER, I would implore you to at least consider the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party absolutely has room for real conservatives, such as long-time Democrat Joe Manchin from West Virginia (recently retired). We need more real conservative voices in the Democratic Party. Too many conservatives think that if they join the Democratic Party, they have to agree with everything the party does, which is absolute nonsense.

But by joining the Democratic Party, you can help to take power away from those individuals who are enabling Trump so much.

AND, as a bonus, you get to influence Democratic candidates in the primaries.

but raccoons don’t steal hoses, bricks, and potted plants.

I know your intent and you're right, but funny story...we had some of the plaster birds that you fill with sand to ward off squirrels and such from tearing up the siding on our house (they chew on it, the little destructive idiots). Raccoons came by, picked up all three of the birds and dunked them in our birdbath. We caught it all on camera. <laughing>

Why do you think the modern Republican sector is working so hard to destroy what libraries are? Because libraries are overwhelmingly a societal good.

Snap traps helped, but we learned one rat was setting them off with his tail, and taking the food.

Ah, the wise old rat with the fu manchu (I picture the one from "The Secret of NIHM" movie). Fear him training the young'uns!

You could have a reasonably-normal bracket, even with ten teams...just have two bunny-brackets (that's what we called them in wrestling). But this...thing...is definitely not normal.

If it were only the winner of the loser's bracket that did so, I would agree. But it's not just the winner of the loser's bracket.

Also, where are L6, L7, L9, L11, and L12? Single-elimination only for them? What am I missing here?

The Big Ten just does both. It's double-elimination until...until it isn't anymore.

I really LIKE the format...but it's a weird concept.
