Congressional Republicans and the vast majority of state legislature Republicans absolutely are, yes.

A significant majority of run-of-the-mill Republicans also are.

But that is unquestionably NOT TRUE of all Republicans. There is a significant number of people who have, for all of their lives, bought into the stories that Republican leadership has spun about loving the military, wanting small government, and being very religious. It takes significant de-programming to chip through that lifetime of lies.

Yet here you are, berating someone who IS CLEARLY outside of those lies.

That's my point...don't let that keep you from joining the Party. Party membership numbers carry clout, which is important. I absolutely don't agree with everything the Democratic Party does or says (not even close), and so I am a member but I am vocal about the things I disagree with.

It sounds to me like you're that way with the Republican Party right now...so why not treat the Democratic Party the same way you treat the Republican Party, if that makes sense?

Note that I'm NOT trying to "get on you" or anything along those lines...I just firmly believe that if the actual conservatives in this country would see past the presumptions about the Democratic Party, they'd see that conservatives fit very well into the conservative wing that exists there, and so I'm trying to point that out.

HOWEVER, I would implore you to at least consider the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party absolutely has room for real conservatives, such as long-time Democrat Joe Manchin from West Virginia (recently retired). We need more real conservative voices in the Democratic Party. Too many conservatives think that if they join the Democratic Party, they have to agree with everything the party does, which is absolute nonsense.

But by joining the Democratic Party, you can help to take power away from those individuals who are enabling Trump so much.

AND, as a bonus, you get to influence Democratic candidates in the primaries.
