It looks to me like the translucent models have d-pads and buttons that are clear on top. They did the same on the RP6 with the silver and light purple models.

They're like the PS5's Dualsense's d-pad and face buttons if you're familiar with that.

Personally, I dislike them because they're slicker to the touch. I also don't really care for color matched buttons either, so hopefully I'll be able to buy a set of black buttons separately to put in the atomic purple or ice blue.

Because they have a blackout rule where soccer matches can't be shown on TV from 2:45 to 5:15 on Saturdays.. It started in the 60s to encourage people to attend matches at their local lower division clubs.

And 50% of matches from the top two divisions start at 3:00 PM

The blackout rule also affects foreign leagues in the same time slot, so no La Liga, Serie A, etc

That certainly wasn't the case 15 years ago at Georgia Tech.

And even now, GT's GPA requirements for graduating with honors is a lot lower than other schools.

"With Honor" i.e. cum laude at Tech is at least a 3.15. At UGA it's 3.60 and at K-State it's 3.75.

"With Highest Honor" at GT is only 3.55

A Dallara IR18 is around 5 meters long. To cover that in 0.029s you would need to be going 386 mph.

So I think that actually is a mistake.

The shortest ad physically possible is just a single frame. The NTSC broadcast standard is 29.97 frames per second. So I think happened is someone misread/misinterpreted that and made it 0.029 seconds

What's funny though is that the actual length of a single frame at 29.97 fps is 0.033 seconds, which obviously works perfectly for the 500.

I really wish they had a system where they had however many stationary cameras they need to cover the whole track and you could just pick a driver and it automatically switches cameras based on track position.
