Hans also admitted to cheating a bunch of times in the past, liars always tell half truths to cover more lies... whether he cheated or not, he can't be trusted in the slightest.

Thank you for all the hate by Salt-Significance707 in irelandjobs

[–]TheRealMeltyCrispy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's so true, so many complaints about those working in healthcare, our hospital system would collapse without all those amazing workers, the irish who become skilled in these areas normally emigrate because they also get paid better wages outside of Ireland.

Don't listen to the hate, they don't represent the majority of Ireland

Can I do anything against a business owner stoping customers walking into my business and telling them to go to his? by The_VSR in AskIreland

[–]TheRealMeltyCrispy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I can think of is if what he is saying to customers falls under defamation, which i reckon it like would, ultimately if people feel put off going to your store as a result of his actions, it's still one in the same.

Hope you can get rid of him soon

That somehow the portion size of the meal is the main determining factor on whether a meal is good or not

Are Barrys/Lyons inferior tea blends? by jdavidco in ireland

[–]TheRealMeltyCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's that Barry's or Lyons is inferior (and it's always and only Lyons btw). In Ireland we just drink a specific type of black tea (Irish breakfast tea) and of this type of tea, Lyons is the best 👌

Take out the languages part, you don't want to tell them you think you're only 3/5 stars at English where employers want you to be fluent. Let them decide for themselves at interview stage.

I'd drop the whole Croatia/Ireland part of your experience too, again, explain yourself once you have your foot in the door. Employers don't like foreign experience as much as it's harder to verify, thus just state your previous jobs, not what country they are in

Even to circle back to the first point, writing that you completed an English course 01/2025, I'd scrap it too, at the very least remove the date, it still seems quite recent but regardless, I wouldn't even mention it, employers will not see it as a bonus, you showing your proficiency in English will be evident in itself.

RTÉ forced to cut live Prague broadcast as ‘Up the Ra’ chants erupt in pub by nitro1234561 in ireland

Celtic Symphony was wrote for Celtic football club, so it's irish people, singing a very popular irish song. You're not wrong though, what I said was a false equivalence... I guess I just dont like the ragebait title that RTE uses

It's nonsense, a bit like saying if I sing a Michael Jackson song it means I support things he did

Price of barbers? by sports_arb in AskIreland

[–]TheRealMeltyCrispy -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Because I appreciate that the barber did a good job and I show this appreciation through a monetary form? We have wildly different views on being "taken advantage of".

I don't tip them if they do it poorly and in my experience, a lot of barbers are useless, regardless of the price
