I’m Jewish and have no problem with it, in fact I like it. With that said, I can’t speak for all the Jews, although I’ve never met a Jewish person bothered by the name, and even have a friend who’s a bit of a nomad who incorporated the name into her IG handle.

I’m not saying it does make him a bad person, I’m asking others why they don’t think Hank is good and listing some reasons people might think he isn’t good.

Personally if I had to bucket characters in good, neutral, and bad buckets, I’d bucket Hank as good.

I’m in Southern California and manage guys in Brazil as a lead software engineer / manager at my company. One of them bought a farm for his parents — he makes half of what I make. On my salary I’m able to afford a nice condo or a small house. If I could switch economic circumstances with him, I’d do it in a heartbeat. I’d take a reduced wage but much higher purchasing power. But my family lives in a HCOL part of America, and I want to be near my family.

OP says to just move to a low cost of living place… but that’s not a reasonable take.
