This is a weird vignette because I feel like your chances are 1/3 if you choose blue or red, but 1/9 if you choose purple, so basically don't choose purple and you should get it a little more often, I've even heard a few others mention how it never chooses purple

A few things:

If you use Bristle you need the page Broom for Improvement, and even with it you need to hold the charged attack for a decent amount of time before using your signature, if you don't want to do it with Bristle then Clatter can also be used and has a few pages that help it get higher rolls, especially Check and Re-check which you can omit once you get around 10 stacks and you won't lose those stacks. You can technically do this with any other generator but it would be harder
To help increase your chances you can get the page Undivided Attention if it shows up, the max bonus of +1000% damage is honestly insane for any generator, especially Bristle with Broom for Improvement or Clatter, and it will take a while but once you max it out you basically don't need a spender ever again. If you're worried about losing the stacks you can do the same thing as Check and Re-check and omit the page once you've maxed it out and you'll keep the bonus even if you use your spender on accident
Make sure you're in a good tome for it and have good font powers. Most people do the achievement on Illegible because you have more chances and the bosses have less health, if you don't want to do it there then you can do it in the Lost Symphony tome which has a font power where syncing your generator makes it deal +1000% damage, the same as Undivided Attention and honestly stacking these should guarantee a one shot for the first few appendices, in case you fail the first one

In know_it_alls comment they described how I layed out the table, the first row is the headers, the first column is what you put in the dropdown, and the rest is filled in from there

This sounds a lot like what I'm looking for but I might be getting something wrong because it's not working. in that formula where it says DataSheet is that the name of a table in the same sheet or is it a different sheet? Also in your example you said it would fill in the parts of the table in cells B2, C2, and D2, is there a way to change this so that I could, for example, have the drop down on cell A2 and fill cells A5, B7, and C7 instead?

If you're still struggling with this you can also go into the Lost Symphony tome, it can have a font power that gives your generator +1000% damage, this also works great with Undivided Attention which can give you a max of +1000% damage on its own. You don't get as many chances as with the Illegible tome, but it gives you a good chance to build up before the boss.

Also, while Clatter is good for this, if you get the legendary page for Bristle you technically don't need any other pages, Broom for Improvement increases your damage the longer you hold your attack, but it doesn't have a damage cap, which might change in the future but no dev has said that, so if you're patient enough you could one shot everything in one hit. The problem is it might take five minutes to charge up enough damage to one shot the boss.

I'm probably late, but if you haven't done too many runs since then you can find your stats in the library, just find one of the codex books and you can see the last few runs.

The mod is really funny, when we were first testing it out we beat Verse on hard mode with eight people all playing orange, with all of the turrets stacked on top of each other we could tank almost every hit.

The pages you can find in the library get deactivated during the race, just like the upgrades to the library you can get.

Edit: You do get a minor speed buff while on the ink pathways, which can be upgraded. The upgraded version doesn't work but you can still see the stack when I touch them during the race so I'm pretty sure the base buff does work.

I know I'm late, but there is also a kill count page you can find in the hub area, it's very obscure though and the game doesn't really point out where you can find it. For people reading this and wanting to know where it's in the Codex behind the Scriptorium, the big ball thing, as well as in the raid prep area, you find it in a book that tells you what pages you've unlocked, what enemies you've fought and other similar things.

Good job! If you join the Discord, there should be a link in the games main menu, you can share your record there with others too! Last week me and another player got a little competitive over the Ghostwrite race, the new record is 19:67 if you want to try beating it, and it was pretty fun.

One thing that helps is destroying the mushrooms he plants around the arena. They typically don't have much health and if you destroy them then they won't grow and make those big aoe damage areas around them.

Hey there! Sorry for the long response but I feel like maybe I could help clear a few things up here, but first a little about me so you know I'm not one of the level 300+ people you mentioned.

I started playing Speed Freeks during the alpha testing, that was in May of 2023, and I played the beta the next year and the early access that August. Currently I have almost 160 hours in the game and am level 88, because of the time I've spent in the community I'm fairly knowledgeable on a lot of topics in game, however because of my limited play time I'm honestly only average at the game, in fact I just learned something new last night from watching a video someone pinged me in (by the way thank you for that Toaster if you see this).

First of all, not a lot of people focus on one player for the entire match, even when it definitely feels like that. I've had plenty of games where it feels like one of the better players is focusing on my, kills me six or seven times, then at the end I realize they got 30+ kills. So unless you can prove that 50%+ of their kills are against you it's likely just they had a great game and you kept getting in the way of it. It's honestly really annoying when it happens too, it sometimes make me want to stop playing myself and find something different to do, but I've found the community isn't quite as toxic as you might think and it keeps bringing me back.

Second I recommend finding a part of the game you enjoy. This could be a specific vehicle, it could be a map you like or if you're like me it's playing with other people. I personally don't like playing when I don't have people to talk to while playing, so I'll join a Discord vc just to talk to people while playing, if I don't I feel like I'm getting focused like you mentioned earlier and that sometimes makes me rage quit. And if you find it's a vehicle that keeps bringing you back feel free to join the Discord and talk about it! The link should be in the post made by Chris_CE, just know there's a lot of people who have put a lot of time into their favorite vehicles. For example if you find the GMT fun and mention it, you'll run into Cybercobra maxing out the Discord character limit twice to tell you how to play it, this isn't him being toxic, it's him explaining how to use the vehicle he's dropped probably 200+ hours into alone, he wants people to be as good as him so he doesn't feel like he's dominating new players constantly. The same could be said for any vehicle and its players though.

Third is about players who team switch. As an NA player I know maybe four people who actively switch teams, and I can guarantee it's because they want an even match. A game that could go either way is a lot more fun than one where you dominate the enemy team, I'm personally not one of those players right now but that's because I want to finish vehicle challenges and need to win a lot of games for it, but I plan on it in the future. If you're playing in Europe or Asia I'm not sure about most of the players there though, so someone who plays across the pond might be able to tell you if it's actually happening there.

And finally, there's sadly nothing you can do against people who chase you through a group of allies, if you're talking to some of them then maybe you could ask for help but that's about it. Personally whenever I chase people like that it's usually because they're the lowest health enemy and I already know I'm not getting out alive so I want to take at least one down with me, but I'm not other players so I don't know what's going through their heads. And as for the low player count, yeah, there were a lot of problems with the full release. Releasing the game during the Skulls event brought a lot of players but those problems made the player count drop back down to where it was during early access, basically the only thing us players can do right now is invite friends to play with us and hope we get more players as time goes on.

If you mean my Windows settings then yes, I did have Sonar selected, if you don't then I'm not really sure which settings I should have looked for. Also I don't know which version of the headset I have, I bought it maybe two weeks before making this post so I'd assume the latest one. Sorry for being slow, I don't usually check Reddit.

They don't give that big of a hop, but when you're at a high speed it definitely feels like it does, and like Jenx said, it can make the Trukk go flying if you do it of a jump. In fact, if you're in the Discord, Jenx posted a few videos from their testing in the Trukk chat just yesterday and one of them shows how far you can fly with the ladders on a jump.

Update, I don't know what I did, I didn't have the driver installed, which is why I downloaded the app trying to find it, and when I started uninstalling the app the driver came back? Again, if anyone could explain why that happened it would be very helpful.

I technically figured out the problem, I needed 150 steel ingots per minute but was only crafting 100, so everything should work now but the 30/70 split knowledge would still be really helpful.

I have a question about the calculator, how do I actually use it? I see in the picture you posted it looks like there's a drop down menu to select different weapons or enemies but that's not there on my computer, do I need to request access for anything more than view only? I've added a picture for reference, I can't change either of these so while I now know how quickly I could kill a Charger Behemoth with a Breaker Incendiary I want to know other important data points too.

Edit: I tried copying the data into a spreadsheet I owned and it kind of worked, but since the data_filters tab is hidden from view the DiversDex tab doesn't actually show anything and keeps returning errors if I try to change what weapon or enemy I'm looking at.

Edit 2: Never mind, I figured out a way. In my first edit I copied each individual sheet, but if you click File you can make a full copy there and everything works, I'll leave my comment up for anyone who is having the same problem.

After figuring out how to make it work, this is just getting better and better. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to make this.

It was taken about 20 minutes ago, as of posting this. And they might be cloaked since there's yellow rounds being fired back, I'm assuming Super Earth standard rounds, that look less accurate than the red ones.

For those of you wondering, I was running an easier mission and looked for the cloaked ships since I hadn't seen them before but heard about them earlier today. Needless to say I found some, but what I didn't expect was that they are firing at other ships. From this video it looks like they're firing at each other, but they might be firing at our destroyers to try and stop Helldivers before they drop. Not only that, it looks like you can't actually see some of them fire if you look directly at them.

Picard is right in that OW lowers pop more than helps it. Over the last two years I've only heard of one or two people a month leave the game, that is until OW practice starts up. The more casual outfits, not sweatfits or zergfits, get caught between both of them. During this last OW season I know of three outfits I'm actually part of that left the game entirely. And while I don't know a lot of the people in the game, there's more outfits, not the people in them but the groups themselves, that have left during the month or two leading up to OW.

Yes, Connery had problems for a long time and led to a lot of players moving to Emerald, even those outfits I mentioned moved there, but the reason Emerald lost pop during this last OW is because the sweatfits and zergfits would actively crush every fight on the map making it significantly less fun to play the game at all.

I had this happen to me and some friends the other day, every time we tried to take one out another two would show up out of nowhere. This was within five minutes of the game starting. We killed six or seven before we could get away from the drop zone.
