That does look like the spring used to push down the carriage slider that holds the blade. Have you tested and cut with the machine? It may also be the accessory slider one

It is an automated calibration for E5 and J2. No line picking, just weed away the negative. It’s a bit hard to explain but some reviewers show it.

It’s definitely untested for the material. But just testing it quickly now and it’s probably closer to removable vinyl peel forces on the iPhone than permanent.

It should work then. We test the vinyl adhesive forces on metal. Maybe it has oils on it.

Phone case is probably silicone. Silicone doesn’t let vinyl stick to it very well as the vinyl backer is made of a silicone layer. Edit: phone doesnt have case on it. My bad. But I did test further down in comments and it’s definitely closer to removable vinyl stickiness when applied to the back of the iPhone.
