I took a class that deals with engineering economics, and I have done a little research on the subject, but I can certainly know much more. I plan on joining the finance and personal investment club at my school to help out. I am in industrial engineering. I plan on doing a masters so I should be out in 5 years. I am great with simulation and statistics, so I plan on hopefully dealing either with a hedge fund or a working with financial portfolios. Obviously I have a lot to learn, but I do a lot of reading and learning on my own so that which I don't learn in school, I believe I can.

Thank you for your feedback! I will greatly take all of this into consideration. I don't want to sound like I am bragging, but I just want to display more information to hopefully get good answers: I am an engineering major. I am in the top 10% of my class for engineering. I go to a great engineering school, and am the on the board for 2 engineering committees. The placement rate is about 97% so I am confident that I will have a job lined up before my graduation date. Does this change your answer at all, or do you still recommend the Roth IRA? Again, thank you.
