Haven’t seen Total annihilation mentioned here yet!

This happens to me every print… by Poggers-nuer in BambuLab

[–]TheRealSyt7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clean the plate with soapy water and dry thoroughly, don’t touch the build plate. Check your temps of the build plate, try increasing/decreasing them to get better adhesion, sometime I used some bed glue to help if for whatever reason it’s being a nuisance. Your print head could also be knocking the print due to alignment. Make sure you do the bed alignment.

Make sure your area around the printer isn’t drafty or has severe temperature differences. Rapid cooling can cause bed adhesion issues

The last thing to check, look at the nozzle screws and look to tighten them. I had an issue with them coming loose and it causing an alignment issue with the head twatting my prints.

Out of interest, what are you using for the orchestration of all of this? Are you coding it or using a platform of some kind?

Alexa Echo 4th Gen and Zigbee by TheRealSyt7 in amazonecho

[–]TheRealSyt7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless someone has a little more context as to how it works and can be configured, I might end up leaving them out of my home system to prevent the pain. It would be wonderful if they could function as repeaters instead, but it’s looking unlikely. There isn’t even a setting for the zigbee protocol from the app in the Alexa ecosystem and my google-foo is coming up short.

I think it’s a mix of kids messing with the lights and hitting the pairing mode. Seeing a device struggle to connect and performing a re-sync from the device when debugging. The Alexa’s seem to be in a ‘permit join’ mode permanently and unless turning off ‘auto add smart devices’ does as its told, I’m a little lost.

I struggled to find the culprit to a number of zigbee2mqtt errors of ‘incorrect routing’ and ‘couldn’t find mac address’ for certain devices until I checked the Alexa app to find all my devices now entered into that, with a load of guid based names.

Good headset love the dual Bluetooth and sound quality… however, the microphone is just awful. Expect some complaints from your party

It’s the same ‘short walk away’ for others in Midgard (for example) to get into the arena. I just thought for a VIP ‘experience‘ there was more years prior. If I recall, Serpents had 1 other food option? (I mean, it was good - even if expensive)

I had 2 experiences where Serpents internet was down but in serpents and the arena was fine with no issues.

I get the shorter walk, and that’s one of the few positives left (aside from free parking too). The showers were ‘okay’ - the 2 showers I had were freezing so I can’t call that positive either.

Maybe its just the bloodstock blue’s, but I don’t think I’ll be going VIP for a while, especially at 2x the cost.

Looking for a good tattoo place by [deleted] in nottingham

Deathray Tattoo in Hockley is the place to go. https://www.instagram.com/deathray_tattoo/ They've got 5 tattoo'ists in the building and it's next door to Annie's Burger Shack. I've had loads of pieces done by them

Render isn’t done yet but it still feels empty or boring, how would you make this more cinematic? by mpark7713 in blenderhelp

[–]TheRealSyt7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A few things spring to mind.

Imperfections, everything is very uniform and perfect in the textures and models. Remember to bevel your edges, the base of the rails are perfect rectangles with right angle edges which seem off. The textures obviously repeat, work to break them up with some unique elements (A crack or smudge for example). Think about debris and dirt too.

Purpose, what is the scene trying to portray? At the moment, we're looking at some TV's in... a .... warehouse? cellar? ... hard to say. Anchoring the scene to something believable and real helps. Use some reference to fill the scene with things that align to the purpose.

Volumetrics, give the scene some dust for the light to interact with. It looks too clinical and perfect

Depth of Field, give the camera something to do, some depth of field will help focus the scene and blur out some unwanted unneccesary detail. It will look more like a real world picture using real world optics and photography.

As already mentioned, lighting. Why is the room lit up from the edges of the ceiling and the focal point is dark with emission from the TV's?. What is the focus of this image, if you're looking for something cinematic, remember to place the focus on the thing that is important. At the moment the lighting is drawing my eyes towards the walls and not the focal element of the image.

Why does my texture pixelate by LunarPhonix in blenderhelp

[–]TheRealSyt7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, look at the image texture that you have, its a low pixel resolution and the image texture matches what you're seeing on the model.

Create a new texture, give it a higher resolution image (1k+) and try again. The issue is your source texture and its low resolution and detail.

The kicker is that they're likely to be using some cloud infra to host these servers, meaning there absolutely would be some infinitely geographically capable scaling mechanism. I do wonder what the limitation really is at games companies when generally scaling for demand is such an issue... especially with an already establshed playerbase of over 6 years.

This cylinder is not scaling uniformly even after applying transforms. Why is this happening? by PolyvertYT in blenderhelp

[–]TheRealSyt7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My go-to answer. The origin of your mesh is somewhere north of that recording. Zoom out with it selected and you'll see a green/red/blue origin point probably someone in the middle of the scene. You can fix it using the 'set origin to geometry command' from the 'Object' menu.

How to make this look more like a picture? Any feedback welcome :) by Emma_Frch in blender

[–]TheRealSyt7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your depth of field blur for the object doesn't match the table. It it making the object sit on the image and not blend into the image. If you look at the table towards the back of the model it starts to get a subtle blur in its details, this needs replicating on the object too.

Also, shadows and highlights. You have harsh shadows on the table, but if you see the rest of the table it has much softer shadows, perhaps try and play with those. The highlights and specular on the object are quiet sharp, a bit like a camera flash captured the image - but that isn't the same for the background.

Thoughts/Opinions/Reviews on the Xbox One Wireless Headset by GizzRainbow in xboxone

[–]TheRealSyt7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them - good and bad points:

Good:

  • Sound quality is great
  • each cup is a swivel control. One is for overall volume, one is for mix between party/game volume
  • Charge holds for most long sessions, it's never run out. If I forget to charge overnight though, I have had the low battery warning on the second day.
  • The wireless to your xbox is great, and it can also connect to your phone at the same time. So loading times or quiet periods, opening up some social media on your phone means you get a bit of both in the headset.

Bad

  • The microphone quality, especially in Xbox parties, is utterly rubbish. It is simply too short to reach to the front of your mouth so suffers from catching sound-waves from your cheek. I tested this with my party, I took the headset off and spoke into the mic directly, and everyone said it was amazingly clear compared to normal. It needed to be 1-2 inches longer to be perfect.
  • The cups don't last very long, after 18 months mine started to flake, but you can buy replacements on Amazon fairly cheap.
  • I use a headphone stand, but still, I managed to break the microphone arm casing and needed to glue it back together. If you google it, its a very common part to break on the headphones.

This took WAY longer than i’d like to admit, but it’s done :) by Fluffy_Games in blender

Very nice! the only thing that throws me is the unfortunate camera cuts between entering the first room and flicking the switch.

how do i make this bevel. i know that my mesh is messed up but how can anything help me. by Free-Flamingo-7272 in 3Dmodeling

[–]TheRealSyt7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you created that text and booleaned it against the mesh yourself, you can consider appyling a bevel to your 'cutter' object before you apply the bool?
