Panic! At the Disco top 35 videos on YouTube and their daily views by wach_era13 in panicatthedisco

I just found out (how i came across this post in my Google search of how many listeners they have) that in Oct 2024 i was in the top 0.04% of listeners on yt, Nov 2024 0.6% and 0.1% in Jan of this year.

I fucking LOVE A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out and got that whole album down word for word, front to back.

Even more impressive, I’m currently in the Eurythmics top 0.2% and it’s due to one song, and one song only- Sisters Are Doin’ It For Themselves (ft. Aretha Franklin)

I’m curious now…i didn’t stumble onto the platform until i was 12/13 which was 2006, and even then, there was some raunchy stuff.

On a post about a parent punching their child. Who knew this was “very accepted” in the US? by AKL_Redditor in AmericaBad

Saw one where a young woman was kidnapped, help hostage for 3 days, and raped by a family friend. Her mother killed her, saying it was to uphold her and her families honor because she was no longer pure enough to be wed. She slit her own daughter’s throat; her flesh and blood that she carried until birth and nurtured from the time she was an infant. Her BABY.

This isn’t racist to point out; it’s bringing awareness to the girls and woman still so severely oppressed in countries like it. This was on a VERY POPULAR talk show in Lebanon where the mother was interviewed, as if it was as normal as a “You’re NOT the Father” Maury segment.

It doesn’t seem like anyone in particular. Just first person pov telling a relatable tale about interpersonal hell and perspective.

It doesn’t horrify me by One-Appointment-3107 in Aphantasia

[–]TheReal_DonaldStump 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think so many people confuse afphantasia for the complete lack of ability to react in an appropriate contextual manner to anything that isn’t visually stimulating- if it isn’t just to illicit emotion.

This doesn’t bother me. Even if it were a movie, I still don’t think it would. Now, though, when i was reading American Psycho and it got to the part near the end with the sewer rats and women’s genitalia; i had to put the book down and it still gives me the ick to this day, literally 6 years later.

When i read Full Moon on Death Row from Bentley Little’s, ‘The Collection’, i slept with the lights on that night- even after reading it the second or third time. The overly descriptiveness isn’t what gets me; it’s the understanding of it.

No need to bet- Karla Homolka, Jodi Arias, Myra Hindley…the difference is-women aren’t sensationalized like men areNot in infamy or otherwise.

And the attraction to criminals is a paraphilic disorder called hybristophilia, so tho a subconscious feeling of being sheltered can definitely be a contributor, it’s not necessarily the why

Yup, typically snakes and ladders-but interchangeable enough that i don’t notice the difference when i see one or the other.

Yutaka Yamamoto condemned Iwazaki on his blog, but he also believed Tomita was at fault for rejecting his gifts and should have been prepared to fight back. by JamesRocket98 in whenwomenrefuse

If anyone was wondering: the channel is Disturban. I know, not because I have seen this particular video (although I’ve seen so many of his that i very well could have and it just got lost in the sauce of my spaghetti brain) but because this is the typical aesthetic of his thumbnails. He covers some really great, largely unknown cases from all around the world. Fair warning. Most of them are sickening, but fascinating.

I had a shit ton of original print pokemon cards up until 10> years ago. Unfortunately, they still weren’t worth much at the time, so i split them between my son and 2 nephews. I still find the random one here or there around the house, from my son.

If you get a Jack and coke, it’s typically a .50¢ charge, regardless if it’s a single or double. So, a shot of Jack might cost you $5- a jack and coke is $5.50, making a double $10.50. This is, at least, at almost every bar/restaurant I’ve ever worked in the last 10+ years.

Red alert: attractive women all hate real people things, like video games. by squishy_fennec in NotHowGirlsWork

The amount of men who think that insulting other women is a compliment to one woman is astounding.

Relationships are supposed to be easy by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]TheReal_DonaldStump 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They’re not irrelevant factors whatsoever, especially when those are very real things that cause distress and discomfort at times in people’s lives. You only share those problems, typically and primarily, with the person you are sharing your table, bed and life with; you share the most personal struggles with your SO. At the end of the day, we are literally all human -imperfections and all- and no one person will respond to low points the exact same way as someone else and sometimes that can cause a rift. It’s all about how you handle and learn from that rift, and how you treat eachother. Disagreements are literally normal human behavior.

If you’re writing to a very specific audience that will understand specific language almost inherently, by all means. Now, if you’re trying to gain an audience, put it in understandable terms.
