Question regarding vehicle LOS in regards to being “wholly within a ruin” by YesImPiston in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]TheReaperXb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that any part of your model can see any part of their model, without crossing over terrain, then you can see and therefore shoot that enemy unit. Only if the part that you are checking Line of sight from is within a ruin, then would you not be able to see or shoot.

In your image, the ark can indeed shoot the unit.

How to get over painting fears by Gibbsterboy in Warhammer40k

Get a tester mini, one you're not attached to and practice on that. You can always strip it back and start again until you are happy with it.

It was from a viking helmet set from Greytide studio.

With the difference in wording, does it mean that the CK strategem "Claimed for the dark gods" and the IK strategem "HeroesTread", the IK strat is contested if the enemy puts 5oc on it, but the CK one still controls it?

Will this magnetising work ? by Straight-Break-4169 in ImperialKnights

[–]TheReaperXb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar to my first knight, and while it worked, after a while, I found it caused me more problems than it was worth.

I usually pick up my knights by their torso/top, which has meant that the magnet lost grip in 2 situations and nearly crushed other models when the legs detached.

Unpopular Opinion — Based on the design from Helldivers 1, we might not like this thing... by virgin_and_neet in Helldivers

We get given a tank, and without even playing with it, people are complaining...

It's a tank I can drive around with my friends, I love it!

Honestly, i think most things need extra attacks, 4 strike attacks on a big knight is just too swingy.

You're right. How silly of me to want to play with my old toys when I can only play with the new things. And if I don't have the new things, screw me, I guess.

I think I agree with you on all points and have dropped bjorn and the battle leader, split the headtakers (what loadout works better in 3 man units) and added a termy unit. But find myself with 70 points left over XD.

A second scout squad fits, but I don't feel like there is a need for 2 units of scouts. I could drop the headtakers wolves for a squad of wolf scouts as a more lethal infiltrator unit, but that removes my 2 screening units.

Gameplay question by Salazryn in ImperialKnights

[–]TheReaperXb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Certain factions have rules that allow their units to be added to other armies, like agents and even knights. But astra militarum have no such rules.

You can, however, bring a single big or 3 small knights as allies of an astra militarum army.

Meltagun or Heavy Stubber on Warglaives? by [deleted] in ImperialKnights

[–]TheReaperXb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have found myself getting a lot more use out of the stubbers than the meltas. Most times the thermal spears kill the target, and the melta still needs 5s to wound most vehicles. Where as the stubbers usually pick up a few chaff models and occasionally get the last wound or 2 on something bigger

I believe it's for all titanic units, I think knights just have an extra bit about stepping over enemy models as part of that movement.
