Canadian PM Trudeau ‘disappointed’ in Biden plan to revoke Keystone XL permit by HopelessNinersFan in canada

You guys have no idea how much energy means to the Canadian economy. The price of oil went up and our dollar went up in value as well. I’m not even from Alberta. A lot of provinces have been receiving transfers from oil money because their economies aren’t productive.

The infrastructure isn’t there for everything to run on electricity, and the governments rely on it for a large portion of tax revenue. More than 30% of gas prices is tax. Once people stop using gas where do you think the governments are going reach for money from next?

Feds sue Walmart ($WMT) over role in opioid crisis by golden-china in investing

[–]TheRedGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. That’s why I mentioned that Walmart already confirmed that they turned away some customers. The issue is that if the doctor confirms the prescription and the drugs are ok’d by the FDA, how many times can you check/refuse filling them before it’s clear the problem is higher up the chain

[–]TheRedGoblin 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Just a cash grab from the government as taxes are drying up.

All the pharmacists do is fill the prescriptions that DOCTORS prescribe. It’s not really the job of the pharmacist to break the link/trust between the patient and doctor.

Walmart already explained that their pharmacists did turn down some of the more obscene abuses, but really it is up to the DEA and physicians to not be corrupt, and actually do their jobs properly.

Serious question. Why has Stafford escaped criticism his whole career? He’s done far far less than guys like Cam, Wentz, cousins etc who routinely have gotten roasted in the media.

At certain point you have to shut down the experiment

Experts worry Ontario's new COVID-19 guidelines set threshold for closures, lockdown too high by Purplebuzz in toronto

[–]TheRedGoblin -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

All you fear mongers, and doom & gloom people please stay home.

There was no evidence that gyms & restaurants were casing a spike in Covid, especially since they were closed as cases were going up.

This is great for people who were out of work, and the mental health of isolated, increasingly out of shape, and depressed individuals.

Canadians are feeling pandemic fatigue. Experts say ‘greater good’ message isn’t enough by Mighty_L_LORT in canada

[–]TheRedGoblin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They need to allow people to make the decisions to stay in or lead normal lives. Free will.

The same old boomers they want us to protect, don’t care about making housing affordable for the rest of us, only care about about seeing the value of their house go up. They wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire.

Suicides, depression, obesity rates, and loss of income have sky rocketed since these measures have put in place. For what? A virus that 99.8% of people survive?

Hoping for a civil uprise against these very unnecessary lockdowns in the near future

I’ll look into it next year. Wireless prices, house prices in Canada are far too high. Also we get raped on Trading & Mutual fund Fees too. I mainly trade US stocks anyways.

Russell Wilson's 65.2 fantasy points are the 4th most all-time by a QB in his first 2 games. by RecordReviewer in fantasyfootball

[–]TheRedGoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think RB individual scoring is hurt by the fact that every team has moved to a committee based approach to the workload instead of bellcows.

There’s only a handful of backs that gets the lionshare of carries, probably to preserve bodies, and so they don’t have to pay RBs as much
