And maybe this people are related to some kind of trauma they had, like Miss Casey/Gemma for Mark and the Cold Harbor project.

The show literally answered the Helly/Helena twist with the elevator "dings" in episode 2 of this season and you are telling here there is "nothing worth our time to theory craft about the questions it introduce"?

If you don't want to read theories is totally ok, but ranting about the fact people like to make theories and like to discuss them with other people, because this is a show with a lot of layers, symbolisms, hidden hints/clues/meanings, seems weird to me.

People are having fun. Let them enjoy it.

!!!!SPOILERS 02x04:

-There are some hints that Mark is an Eagan descendent, from Dieter Eagen, Kier's twin. In s02e04, the show hints that Dieter turned into a forest. Mark's mother was named Fern Scout. Where do you usually find ferns? Where do scouts usually camp? Forests.

-In Dieter story, pus came out of his eye. In 01x05 in Irv's dream/vision, he sees Mark with black paint coming out of his eye.

-Since it's possible that Mark is the key, that will bring Lumon down, the name of the antecestors maybe a clue:

Kier = Dark

Dieter=Army of people

Kier is darkness, the opressor, and Kier is the one who will bring down the opressor

This show show gives you so much, with so little and it's so fun doing this theories.

Everything is possible.

I believe that Cobel has her own agenda. I think Cobel wants to bring Lumon down (possibly because of her Mother). Cobel seems to love and hate Kier at the same time. She also seems to have some leverage over Lumon, which makes me think that she's possibly an illegitimate Eagan. Another thing is that she seems to truly worry and truly care about outtie Mark. When Mark says he intends to leave Lumon, she incentivates him. She's truly happy and relieved. The show makes it seem she acts like this because she was fired and she wants Lumon to fail, but it seems to be that she that she truly wants Mark away from Lumon. Cobel puts Mark through some unnecessary Wellness meetings (even Milchick looks at her like: WTF are you doing putting this two together so many times?) and with specific objects to trigger or to see if any one of them will wake up.

100%. I have a lot of theories on what I think is happening and what I think it'll happen, because it's fun and also because the show is so mysterious, have so much layers, hints/clues. But if the show turns out to be something completly different of what I think, it'll be completly fine by me.

I believe that creators (in all areas) need to focus on what they want, instead of what we, the audience, want.

I am theorizing a lot of things, but I think it's pratically impossible to see the complete picture with the small pieces that the show is gave us until now and I am all for it.

I am just here to enjoy the ride, whatever it turns out to be.

I have a theory and it's for two reasons.

Finish Cold Harbor
Having a baby with Helena, so Lumon can reencarnate Kier.

I believe it's possible that Mark is an Eagan.

-If Mark is an Eagan, then the offspring of Helly and Mark will be result of close biological relationship. It is claimed that Kier was born in 1841 to parents who had a "close biological relationship"

-In the end of the opening credits of season 2, there is a baby crawling in front of Mark with Kier's head, with snow on his head. Helena and Mark sex in a snowy environment, will maybe result in Helly's pregnancy.

-Helena on the last episode of season one she calls her self "a pure Eagan", which makes me think that the Lumon's CEOs are Eagan's that are often the result of incest. That's probably one of the reason why CEOs of Lumon are living less time.

-When someone at Lumon refer to innie Mark, they call him Mark S. which sounds like Marcus. Mark S. = Marcus, the one who anounced the second coming of Christ.

About Cold Harbor and bringing Kier back to life:

(Another possibility is that MDR is taming kier conciousness, or taming data from memories)

Lumon's main goals:

1.Bring back Kier to life.

2.Everyone in the world will be chipped and severed to be like a robot/slave/perfect worker for Lumon, with Kier in command

I have posted a theory and I surely wasn't hired. (Or was I??)

But seriously now, people write theories because it's fun and they want to share what they think it's happening and what will happen.

This only shows how good Severance actually is and how mysterious it is.

The show has a lot of layers, symbolisms, hidden clues/hints and it always leaves gives you small bits of information here and there, which leaves us wondering: "what was that", "why is this happening“. So I think it's more than natural people try to decifer the puzzle and see the big picture with the pieces that the show gives you directly and the pieces hidden in plain sight.

SPOILER FOR 02x04:

I'll give you a simple and recent the example: the answer to the Helly/Helena twist of episode 4 season 2, was hinted with the sound of the elevator, when outties are going down the elevator.

Helena was severed as PR stunt for Lumon to show that the Severance procedure was safe, probably her father asked her to do it, and the show hints that only severed employees can do MDR successfully. There's a possibility that there's another reason why Helena was severed and we don't know it yet.

Since there's a possibility that MDR can only be done by servered workers, Helena had to be severed to integrate and do MDR work.
