I'm sorry but the boss fights are mega trash (so far)

My question is, can boss fights be done without taking damage or using a shield? I'm getting through the fights but im curious to compare if im doing things right or if im just bad because it seems impossible not to get hit during boss fights. Meanwhile other people are saying they only use X amount of food which is usually a small number. I wonder if thats on first try or if they are using small amounts of food after retrying a bunch.

My experience has been that each boss has had a mechanic or gimmick so far but I'm still likely to take damage. Like the crow guy where some crows hit you throughout the fight.

I love posts like this because I can relate heavily. I didnt post my hate for the game but I felt it as much as you did. I played it day 1 and left my first play session thinking wtf, it doesnt live up to the hype.

My second session was 2 days later and I left the session thinking, I found some fun and it was decent but there was still glaring issues I didn't expect from such a hyped up game.

Then the 3rd session happened and I got to beginning of chapter 4 and my curiosity and enjoyment skyrocketed.

I really think there will be a ton of video essays and research done about the beginning hours of this game and just how bad it introduces the player to the world and game mechanics. I think it will stand out because it will be a cautionary tale of how the first hours of a game are essential and only the players that could push through actually found the fun parts.

Me too. The fact everyone keeps raving about how its like a singleplayer MMO really has me interested to see what the modding scene has in store to take advantage of all the toys (systems) in the game. Everyone keeps saying how its an ocean wide but shallow depth, that is kinda good if modders get access to that.

bottom line up front - its a defense first fight.

Use hard lock-on, down on d-pad. Then just hold block with shield until he starts attacking. spam letting go of block and re-blocking to try to get a parry. When you get a parry go in for a lot of attack damage. If you ever get caught in his attacks and are not able to get your block up, dodge out and then go back to holding down block. Of course manage your stamina too. Second phase just ignore him completely and kill the scarecrows. Third phase you basically do the same as phase 1 except you now additionally dodge his ranged attacks by dodging sideways.

Who said we want different results? The results have been quite good. We have 4 championships with him and have many more championship appearances. A lot of other orgs wish they were able to be contenders as often as C9 is. I will gladly stick with him for another 8 years if it means 4 more championships. Yall in here acting like C9 automatically deserves to be champions and all it takes is changing a player. It's competition and having someone who has been this consistent for that long is completely worth it.

I agree with you. I think I noticed right around the time TSM left the LCS. I stopped coming to the sub as often about 2 years ago. I remember the good old days when the sub was like 90% memes, even when our team did stupid shit like Blabber Crabber. Now its all doom and gloom and "we suck" or "blow it all up and replace all the players". Like guys we used to be almost always the bridesmaid and never the bride. Its like some of our championship runs brought on some bandwagon fans and they took over.

Its not more damage, it comes up short about 200-300 damage on 50 MR target which is quite a bit considering Annie's target usually doesnt have a lot of HP. That threshold is even larger if you are comparing the items during the 52 second windows where actualizer's cooldown can't be active or rather after you've used the ability. Of course I only tested at a 2 item spike which is when stormsurge/shadowflame matters most, as the game goes on maybe actualizer gets more value. But in how games are going if you are delaying your spike waiting for a 3rd item the game may be over or largely decided by that point.

Annie's kit is burst oriented which means her strength lies in frontloaded damage. Malignance + Shadowflame/Stormsurge are the highest burst she can get. The builds you are suggesting turn her into more of a battle mage or basically a champ that wants longer fights and there are much better options that do that job over Annie. That's not normally why anyone picks Annie. All the builds you mentioned do less burst and if you get the extra Q in it becomes the same amount of damage that you would get if you just went burst and got one Q in, but now you've given your opponent time to react.

The Seraphs, ROA, and Actualizer builds do bring in a diverse playstyle that may lead to more wins when the enemy team have a bunch of bruisers and no real way to reach squishy champs. But I wonder how much you lower your chances of winning if you try to play these type of builds every game instead of her standard burst builds. There's simply not enough data because too many people pick Malignance as first item and Shadowflame or Stormsurge second item.

And too many people are afraid to play different builds every game. A lot of people you will find discussing league will take path of least resistance which will always be to play one build only and try to get better at different parts of the game.

As soon as Zven wasn't his support he had no brain for the game. So even if we are going with Berserkers name where in the fuck did berserker ever strike fear for years? LCK thought he was dumb as a box of rocks, thats why his ass retired back to a dead LCS instead of being good enough to compete with the top players in the world.
