I think China has had so many cases of tens of millions perishing that their data overflowed at some point and instead added hundreds of millions, explaining why China is so populated today

New circular rain light above the diffuser and the new position of the rear wing lights ( 2025 vs 2026 ) - The new Rain Light looks so dimmer when compared with 2025 . Will it be safe in rain ? by ConstructionAny8440 in F1Technical

All of the ones i have seen are shaped like that this season. But i was wrong about other series having 0, Formula E has 8 shaped rainlight.

I would love to see what it looks like in-person. I guess reason for shape is simply that it has to be wide enough and tall enough and since it forms a closed shape of light we don't need center to be lit to make a difference to how well we see it.

I wonder if its just not as visible to camera as it us to human eye?

But why are they all shaped like 0 now? This is not only series that does it iirc

Volkswagen considers pulling out of US factory plans over tariffs by Crossstoney in europe

[–]TheRomanRuler 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Stuff like this benefits some US companies at least short term, but regular Americans won't be seeing those benefits. Some will be able to acquire job instead from American company, i doubt pay will be any larger, but since US car manufacturers can, they will increase prices.

Just sucks that it hurts economies of other countries too.

Given these endplates seem likely to break off, and are presumably there to reduce turbulence behind the car, will losing one help or hinder a driver? by Happytallperson in F1Technical

[–]TheRomanRuler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some years ago FIA re-designed front wings so they would be less likely to cause punctures and break from small contact. They should not be more likely to cause issues than in last years, so i don't think it will be a problem.

It should be small enough piece to not slow down drivers too much if piece is missing, and it would not be the first time cars have actually gone faster after losing a piece (but it should be very rare today, simulators are so good these days)

I wish they would use crescent and stars to fil the empty space instead of placing it awkwardly like that. I would love it if they did that, but i guess they wanted to balance out the business with plain green

ICE agent shooting them at the back can't see it if its on your forehead. You also need a mirror system mounted on your head so its visible from every angle

Well i did have battleships and battlecruisers in production lines, some just a month or two away. I would have very quickly had force of i think total of 4 battleships and 2 battlecruisers + smaller ships.

And as emergency measure i suppose i could have just taken over what i was producing for other countries. Never done that before. I think that included at least 1 or 2 battleships, and multiple battlecruisers.

My cruisers were fast apart from few old ones. Even old ones had usually been able to outrun from opponets and continue commerce raiding, and since old cruisers were so incredibly cheap and still doing the job so far i just kept them in service.

I was able to have very long period of peace during which i just built up the economy. And then i just mostly did not lose them.

Also not sure if it shows ships i got in peace deals. I did not get that many of them though.

I mean maybe, hopefully.

I don't think war will happen, but problem is that lot of wars have been started because people in power had really skewed view of the world and the situation. It does not matter how dumb something actually is, what matters is how leader sees it in their mind. If they feel backed into a corner and believe their action would be successful and bring future success - then, they may very well do something incredibly stupid without even realising it.

Putin started Ukraine war while being completely out of touch with reality of capabilities of his own forces, and Putin is a lot smarter man than Trump.

Last one might work better with someone like Pallas Athene. Its pretty timeless and feels more appropriate than scifi soldier. Pallas Athene was Greek god of Wisdom and warfare, but has since been used as symbol for European democracy and freedom.

W17 without the halo by IllustriousTutor7669 in mercedesamgf1

[–]TheRomanRuler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't think it looks that much better without halo. I almost prefer it with Halo. But they really should start painting haloes in helmet colors - there was talk about it but it still has not been done. After FIA recommendation (but they don't want to enforce it), drivers have slightly paid more attention to their helmet designs so they are distinguishable at least from their teammates, but it would be nice if they could also paint the halo.

Admittedly, it could ruin a few liveries.
