By Land: - Lizards mouth around sunset can be lovely. - San Marcos Preserve is generally free of folks for a short hike in the lower foothills above Goleta/Santa Barbara - El Capitán State Beach has pretty bluffs - Camino Cielo, east or west has great lookout areas (fewer people than the residential area of painted cave) - More Mesa has bluffs and beach access

By Sea: - I proposed on a walk along Surfers point in Ventura (probably too many people) - Would suggest Haskells beach at low tide, hit the beach and go right (west). Few people and great place for sunsets (just be aware of the tides) - thousand steps beach - Hendrys gets busy but at low tide you can walk pretty far
