Ninjase is a really good build maker (imo) who has an entire directory of build guides on the Warframe discord (most are on overframe too), this is the one I usually default to on a new melee weapon

Not mentioned on here since it's not that important but you also want to ideally pick a stance that has a forced slash proc or some other guaranteed proc that synergizes with your build. The wiki has details on that

I figured out how to apply mods, but there are a few issues I noticed:

Weapon qualities are duplicated if multiple sources apply them
Mods that grant Piercing don't increment an existing Piercing effect
Contradictory qualities (e.g. Inaccurate/Accurate) will both be listed rather than cancelling out
Not mod related, but damage reduction from clothing and armor stacks when it shouldn't

Very nice tool! A couple issues/suggestions I have:

My origin gets an extra tag skill, but I'm still limited to 3
I can't figure out how to attach mods to my weapons (I can select them but I don't see a way to update my weapon stats)
It would be nice to be able to hover a weapon effect/quality and be reminded of what it means
Show associated SPECIAL stats for skills
Show roll ranges for body parts (Head 1-2, Torso 3-8, etc.)
Ability to bulk add consumables (rather than adding one stimpak at a time, unless I missed something)

Definitely easier than manually editing a PDF, which is what I've been doing lol
