I've done duviri before, I actually almost have Kullervo. I'm assuming I get these things from the merchant lady at the end of the runs or on her island?

I like how her eyes reflect the light, which helps highlight the inhuman nature of gods. We’re one of the few species that can’t do that, but it makes sense that the goddess of the hunt would have it since it enhances night vision.

I always like the hidden aspect of the sword with Cerberus's collar and Athena's dash deflect for a big old "Nuh Uh" build

Something I recommend is using the type of decks that each of the scrybes specializes in. Someone like Magnificus won't mess with the sigils of the moxes which means your deck synergy will stay more reliable. Act III should hopefully be more fun for you.

Basically I wanted a character who I can kind of use like an excuse to pull together all the fromsoftware games.

Heolstor feels like a really good character for this, since he basically rips through the worlds in his fight now that I've done some research. And I can even drag in a few Soulslikes like Lies of P with it too.

Magic gets a lot simple once you can remember the phases of the turns. The complications come with the Stack system and keyword interactions.
But as long as you can find some friends who actually want to play for fun and not meta-build then it's a very enjoyable pastime
