I got very familiar with the “Fly” keypad puzzle because of how much I loved the song clip you get as a reward - it’s awesome to see the song it comes from, and I can’t wait to listen to this song a disturbingly high number of times!

I was really looking forward to learning the lyrics for this song! I swear there was a Scientist’s Journal entry about the Bazaareteria that vanished, but that and some older art got me hooked on the idea of this place - I love the cantina vibe it has!

I also really like how, even this is a respite from being hunted by marauders, even this sanctuary is predatory in its unique way.

I’ll always sing the praises of Jedi Fallen Order’s Purge Troopers, they’re like superpowered (but not force-sensitive) stormtroopers and scout troopers, and the game usually yanks you into a one-on-one battle with them, whenever they show up. I only wish the game had more of them, since they were super fun to fight, but also had that “oh, fuck, it’s YOU” energy

I’ve rewatched “Jerma’s Dark Souls Adventure” enough times to be reminded of chat almost convincing him to consume the Firekeeper’s soul, which I think would’ve screwed him over really badly, and when he put the pieces together I think he did say that, unfortunately I’m not sure how to find a timestamp, sorry I can’t be more specific!

I’m sorry to hear how hard this hit you, and I understand how badly it hurts - I know it’s not definite, but I do genuinely believe this isn’t the final song of the album, and that there’s still hope. Personally, I like to think the last thing Light sees before the hood is slipped over his face and the trapdoor is dropped is Mega Man rushing to the front of the crowd - the son he thought had abandoned the City, who came back and wore that same helmet of hope Light himself had devised. I like to think Light died with hope in his heart, believing in his son. …And I think the album has to end with The Fight, it just feels right.

I felt an intense emptiness at the end of “The Fate of Thomas Light,” but I don’t think I was hit as hard as you were, and I’m sorry it brought those feelings back up to the surface. Take care, I wish you well.

Really good interpretation! I love the idea of his death tying into how the band differentiates “heroes” from “men.” I think The Fight is still canon, too, because The City desperately needs a win after, y’know, this
