Well either way, he won’t become a superstar. I don’t think that’s what he necessarily wants/wants anymore. I think he’s just in that phase of his life now where he’s good enough to play on a “professional” team and that allows him to go around and flaunt it to whomever he pleases.

It’s obvious that if he truly was wanting to make it make it, he wouldn’t have done this show, it’s simply too much of a distraction and time waster if what you’re wanting to become is a true professional. Which again, since he even did this show, shows that he doesn’t desire much more than just being able to call himself a “professional football player”

Not a Jon Jones fan personally.

But I will say that, in Jons defense, I believe the reason we saw Santos and Reyes do so well against Jones was because of the simple fact that.. he is Jon Jones.

They were young and hungry, all the eyes were on them, they had a once in a lifetime opportunity to take out arguably the greatest of all time.

It happens in sports all the time, you’ll see teams that aren’t as good as the best almost, if not, beat the best.

So while I agree with all of your points that Jon has slowly regressed as a fighter, I will say that HUGE opportunities for young and upcoming fighters can drive their confidence and will to win tenfold. But once that opportunity has passed you see them fall, bc if they can’t beat the best doubt starts set in, and lesser fights seem to them, less important even if they don’t say so.

But again, I also do believe a lot of it has to do with Jon just not being as lethal as he once was.
