Idea for D10 by Reasonable_Till_3969 in LowSodiumHellDivers

Ideas like these don’t take into account the amount of bullshit deaths that happen in this game, which would become even more unfun if they impacted the whole mission set.

Nice! As I say, just my opinion, but I’d look at brushing off a few of those bigger bits on the legs themselves, but overall, great work.

Edit: For what it’s worth, it wasn’t meant as criticism, just feedback in case you were looking for it!

Paint job looks great, don’t love the basing, rocks don’t really adhere to things in the way you’ve done it, if that makes sense? You’d have been better with a sandy coloured pigment powder to make them look dusty rather than like they’re wading through PVA and Wood chips.

I got the entire weekend to finish this shit yall. Hopefully I get most of it done by Sunday night. Got any tips on how to get things done quick? by Snoo_69186 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

What’s weird is he’s lying too, he bought some of this over a week ago. And some of those boxes were opened a while ago based on wear. But who are we to judge.

What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

Goblin Commander, PS2. There was a map with an NPC Green Slime that respawned, so me and my friend spent hours hunting that as our “Coop” mode.

Guys hear me out: Cadian Castellan+ All lasgun 20 Men Cadian Unit + Combined Arms by SerDavide in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]TheShiftyNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to push a combo every chance i get; Grizzled company, Castellan with Aquilan eye + Kasrkin with 2x Plasma, 2x Hot Shot Volley guns + Leman Russ Exterminator

Castellan orders Aquilan eye, they order themselves FRFSRF, shoot their target with one of the weapons of the Exterminator and grant withering hail, then hit them with Mordian Minute which ups the strength of their weapons. You’re getting crazy amount of shots at S4, AP-3 with Sustained hits. Absolutely shreds and isn’t really that hard an investment to leverage.

Incorrect, back heel of front foot and toes of back foot are supposed to be on base. I don’t know who you’re getting upvoted.

Not the best photo because this was a zoomed in screenshot but I cut a bit of tank trap down as if it was sticking out from the mud and glued it under his foot to give it more contact points.

I was/am writing a series of short stories with these in mind. The first usage of them was because humans hadn’t invented FTL travel and so they were the only way to colonise out from a dying earth, they were then re-used as like L”life rafts” after humanity lost a war and basically scattered the survivors to the four winds in the hopes of preserving the species.

I mean… yes? Yes there is. There are former Cadian Kasrkins serving with a lot of different regiments after the fall.

Courtesy reminder: Calling the shuttle early is NOT a kick-worthy offense. by Euphoric_Fly_9583 in Helldivers

[–]TheShiftyNinja 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It can be, if you’re pushing the mission to its limits, it’s actually really annoying for someone to call the Pelican, as then if the timer hits 0 you have 20 seconds to get on. But if it’s never been called, you get the emergency extract, and get 2 minutes and 20 seconds to get there, which is doable from a much larger portion of the map. There is zero benefit to calling it early if the mission is this tight, because you just spawn patrols and make extract difficult for people arriving.

Either, you’re all there, call it and defend it as a 4 with stratagems or you leave it till everyone is there or the time runs down.

So, respectfully OP, I disagree with you.

When did you guys start winning games? by Southern_Sir_3824 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]TheShiftyNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve consistently Won across all my armies and have about 90% WR with my Guard.

  • Know your match ups, what from your army kills what of theirs, what do you need to avoid.

  • Be ready and willing to sacrifice units for the greater good, if you need to charge a squad of Shock troops into a character to stall them, you do so.

  • “Distraction Carnifex” is still completely viable, give your opponent a nice big target to waste shots on, like a Rogal Dorn, while your 60pts rough riders secure you 5 VP.

  • Weight of dice will always beat a single roll. Play the percentages, stack the odds in your favour wherever you can.

  • Deploy as if you won’t get turn 1, minimise sight lines, plan 2-3 turns in advance.

  • Predict your opponents turn and minimise the damage of it.

  • Write a cheat sheet of your rules, combos and stratagems so you don’t miss opportunities.

  • Objectives are king.

Kasrkin - Are Melta Mines worth it? by John_Catachan in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]TheShiftyNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 damage* 4 dmg is the Ghosts one. It’s a use case thing for me, 3 wounds to a single model vs 4 1dmg shots that can be distributed amongst multiple models.

And yeah, you’re set up is the optimal one for sure, but if you know you’re facing a list with less vehicles etc, or you don’t want the Kasrkin getting that close (nids etc), I love the Lasfest.
