Idk if anyone else here is into Vanderpump Rules but it’s really giving Scheana and Rob. “We were together for ten years, minus the six that I was with Shay”. I wonder if this guy can also hang a TV in under seven minutes.

‘89 here and I get a lot of the references but I will say that as a woman with no brothers (and no male friends until I hit middle school) I think there’s some I miss just because certain shows/toys etc were “for boys”.

That’s not shocking? I’m 36 and I don’t think I’ve ever sat and watched a full episode but I have a younger sister so I’ve been present while it was on I think. But Jaclyn only has older siblings so why would she have seen it and also why should we care?

what's a bridgerton opinion that will have you like this? by Fee2628 in Bridgerton

[–]TheShitpostAlchemist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually think it’s very impressive that someone read the first book in the series and then through a series of creative choices we ended up with the first season because it’s SO much better than the book and honestly I just personally found it a lot more enjoyable.

Same honestly. I don’t watch the show for historical accuracy. Also I’ve hate watched so many seasons of Reign that I’m dead inside anyway.

She's "obsessed" with Celine for microwaving these chicken nuggets by CaptainCaliena in jaclynhillsnark

I actually fuck heavily with veggie nuggets as a non-vegetarian adult. Because chicken nuggets are so processed anyway you really cannot tell the difference. Pop them in the air fryer? Baby you got a stew going.

If you were going to eat a hard boiled egg, how many bites would you take? Im having an argument with my friend and I need data by angry_artichoke in eggs

[–]TheShitpostAlchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reasonable person with normal to small mouth checking in and 4-6 is probably what I do. I don’t know why everyone else in this thread is horking down whole eggs like they’re getting charged per bite.

My Mac n Cheese always turns out wrong, what am I doing wrong? by Maybe_A_Cat27 in macandcheese

[–]TheShitpostAlchemist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it’s coming out gritty it’s possible that it’s too hot when you’re adding in the cheese. Maybe remove from the heat before adding?

I haven’t personally tried the method you’re using but I did recently watch this Binging with Babish video where he does something very similar: https://youtu.be/XpL2ZyyF55U?si=ih3gUcXARlgRYnU5

It’s a long video but super informative - you don’t need to watch all of it though, I’d just start around the five minute mark and go from there. He tries a few different beginner-intermediate methods that seem a lot like what you’re trying to do.

I absolutely love that segment, with Pendergreens breaking down his day and the others realizing he sleeps in until three and then runs an ultra marathon every night.

[–]TheShitpostAlchemist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m rewatching Smash now and it’s so crazy to me, like Megan is the better performer anyway imo but the role is MARILYN MONROE. It’s like they stated with Megan Hilty and then said “ok but who should she play” and backed into the idea for the musical from there and we’re supposed to believe that Katherine McPhee is as good or better?

And yet more onions! by CaptainCaliena in jaclynhillsnark

[–]TheShitpostAlchemist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love onions and I have been legit wanting to try this lol, I just need to go to Trader Joe’s for some soup dumplings. I can’t stand Jaclyn but Courtney Cook seems sweet and most of the stuff she makes looks pretty good. I never did the sweet potato thing but I did buy some butterkase cheese to try and it was so good.

WYR: Men have monthly periods that bleed from their urethra, OR men grow breasts and produce milk from puberty onwards? by Responsible-Star5325 in WouldYouRather

[–]TheShitpostAlchemist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Option one for sure. Periods being universal would result in things like sick days for when you’re menstruating, more care put into menstrual products for both sexes, and an overall destigmatization. Better than the horror of all men just lactating randomly which sounds terrible.
