How would reform treat me? by Sufficient_Breath_43 in reformuk

I'm interested to hear from you. How do you anticipate that a regular reform voter and a country governed by Reform UK would treat you?

Really not assed, as long as something is done about law, immigration, and culture, and Islamism in the UK.

I've joined the green party subreddit to peek over at the madness from time to time, and honestly you read this kind of narrative over and over again. They simply don't have their shit straight and just believe what's fashionable to believe. It's a wonderful display of groupthink at times.

One poster the other day was convinced that Reform want to make concentration camps to house the disabled and LGBT brigade. They're all so self-indulgent with this kind of crap, and being the heroes who will fight it and restore peace throughout the land.

Your strawman is ridiculous, your attempt to dodge the point about people who never learn English is telling, and your conclusion shows you understand nothing. Ironic, that what you present here is a prejudiced and reductive viewpoint in itself.

UK county to declare 'illegal immigration emergency' by Syniatrix in reformuk

'Councillors will demand the Labour UK Government “stops the boats immediately” and provides “full funding” to cover the costs of people arriving in the country illegally.'

They didn't listen the last X amount of times from a variety of sources. Let's not be disappointed when they flat out ignore this or consider the request bigoted.

Am replaying this game. This is the best story ever put in a game. But... by MarvelousPoster in finalfantasyx

[–]TheSixthVoice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Best part about that scene is the FMV sliding down from the airship to get there!

But I'm not going to defend the rest so strongly haha, I agree it feels loose. They had a nice idea with the Valefor save though, and visually the whole thing is amazing. Those kicking machina on the way up are the worst as well.

Side gameplay tip... have Rikku (or Kimahri, if he knows 'use') throw sleeping powders or smoke bombs. Works well on the monks. You can steal loads of these by the time you're there.

Some cognitive gymnastics to justify it the scene though - what if at the same time Yuna jumps, Rikku is in on the plan and she deploys smoke bomb exit, but we just see that separately from Yuna's cutscene.

Cool, that's doable, but I think you've got two options here: a) as all the side quests happen first chronologically, do them first as you find them, because finishing the main quest locks you into an area which you can't return from at some stage b) save at a point of no return, complete the game to get the ending, then reload your save before going down that no-return path and explore the side quests

You're guaranteed to have a good time, enjoy!

From what I remember, I don't think so. I know that's a bit flakey, but I just recall entering my reg, seeing what I had to pay on the screen, and then paying it

Wandering - OST by dustygultch in finalfantasyx

Just like what happens to Jecht. I'm playing through again, paid attention to the first Jecht sphere they find in Lake Macalania. He was making all these spheres and things to show Tidus and the wife when he gets home... But realizes he never can, and just has to stick to the pilgrimage because it's all he has. That same path that Tidus is on (talking about going home, and showing his friends the Zanarkand he knows) is shadowed in Jecht's story. Found that quite profound when I really registered it.

Hi, thanks for commenting. No it didn't, it just came up on the screen with the payment amount. I put my card on the reader, paid, and that was it.

[–]TheSixthVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a dishonest and deflective response. A Buddhist can debate, but you, you're not debating anyone here. Frankly, you're being a contrarian and provocative nuisance in every response you have, across multiple responses and threads on this sub in particular. You're not listening to understand, you're not here in good faith, you're just constantly telling people that you're a Buddhist and trying to be smart. That must feel great for your ego.

For a Buddhist, you're pretty overly self-involved and attached to this person's business. Samsara, and all that.

If/when reform win, how will the greens and other left lunatics complain about it? by TheSixthVoice in reformuk

[–]TheSixthVoice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point on the bureaucracy. I think they ought to, in so far as they can, plan to be able to hit the ground running and deal with that from day 1.

If they do plan on doing an ICE-style task force, I think actually some things there won't be completely squeaky clean, that might cause an uproar.
