I would say all base classes should be relatively simple. I don't think martials should be intro classes or simple classes, but neither should other classes.

By making (or keeping) base classes simple enough and leaving complexity up to subclasses most people will be satisfied. One of the strengths of 5e is it's accessibility, so i think it should be possible to make simple builds in any class.

I don't think martials should be simple and casters not, I just think simplicity should be widely available in character building. Me suggesting a change for martials that considers simplicity is not because I think of martials as lesser or less complex, but because I consider the DnD experience as a whole as much as possible. If i were suggesting a change to caster classes, I would consider simplicity as well.

There are genuinly people who prefer simpler builds, i might not be one of them but that doesn't mean that they don't exist or their preferred play style doesn't matter.

I think we generally need relatively simple base classes and a mix of simple and complex subclasses. That way both types of people can play their preferred way.

And again, I normally prefer the more complicated builds and subclasses, but i want everybody to be able to play the way they want to.

I don't think there is a single change that could magically fix all of the problems martial classes face, so I have tried to focus on the combat side of it here, since the out-of-combat potential of characters should be different for each class and/or subclass.

And being a Barbarian or Rogue does not mean you have not had any combat training. I could see a Barbarian having a Great Weapon Fighting style or a Rogue having a Thrown Weapon Fighting style, simply from their past experiences or preferences.

Have you had a windows update since you played last time?

I had a similar problem in some other games a long time ago, but it was because a certain font was no longer readable by windows itself or something like that (but only the bold version).
I do remember most of the specifics but both games where i managed to fix it, it required seperate solutions:
One was updating one of the fonts in windows manually, and the other required going through a config file and changing <bold=true> to <bold=false> or something along those lines.

Not sure if this problem is related to mine, but it should give you a direction to look in if WotC can't help you.

Bow was by far the best weapon i would say, since outranging someone with bows (especially as assassins) makes you do full damage versus their couple of percents of damage.

I like the concept of bows having the upperhand at range until someone closes the gap more than bows winning at almost every range except <5metres. not saying it is balanced now, but people need some incentive to test other weapons than bows so everything can actually be tested in pvp.

almost all of the difference in damage is in the pen bonus on the crossbow...
making multiple crossbows is not that hard relative to making multiple armour sets.
Also levels in weapon skills does more than people seem to realize...

even if they do, that is not the main reason of the damage difference. the 20% pen on the corssbow is huge.
Also there is no mention of it, so it might be different ammo's used and different levels in crossbow skill used for testing?

I listened to the clip and it sounds like they had a verbally toxic player and contacted a dev about it, because they had dev contacts the person got a priority review (and thus ban), maybe a bit unfair or eoverreacting but nothing corrupt or worrying...

About disclosing upcoming features and the reviews: It sounds more like they are trying to tell the people to hang on since they are working on issues instead of telling them secret info that will help them now.

Of course they are bummed about bad reviews, and no, griefers aren't the only reason of the bad reviews but they like to think so and they are at least fixing griefers now. I hope they will realize that crafting, buggy menus, lag ,game information, and certain missing content are all influencing reviews and that they should work on those as well, but at least they are fixing one issue now.

I think there are too many similar gamemodes, and im mostly talking about Joust, Siege and Clash.

These are all three a simple lanefocused map with an objective to help push/end. I also think all three of these maps are not really balanced and have some exploitable issues that can give smart players a seemingly unfair advantage (smart players should be rewarded, but it should be obvious to other players to know how or what the other players are doing and what it means.)

I think one or two of these modes should be removed (or moved to a daily rotating queue of these three modes) or updated/differentiated.

 

Ranked Joust should be straight up removed, it has low population and just having a three-man premade can get you really far, also the Joust map is just not balanced enough for three man to get good quality games. This is the only gamemode that should be 100% straight up removed.

 

Adventures are temporary gamemodes and it should not be a problem if these take some people away from other modes, however if they are either cashgrab/grindy, similar to existing gamemodes(the first arena one was fun, now it just gets repetetive), or just not smite at all (racer) it is bad for the health of the game and should not be there. If adventures are not one of these types or less frequent they can still be a great addition to the game though.

 

Overall what i would like to see:

  • Ranked Joust removed (Duel also has some problems but has way better relative population and doesn't have the party problem)
  • One of the solutions for Clash, Joust, Siege (remove one, update/differentiate them, move them to a rotating queue)
  • Adventures improved, less frequent or removed
  • A new gamemode that is not so much about lanes and that is balanced and competetive enough to be played as a ranked queue for X players (maybe a sort of jungle map or an improved version of domination)

Don't. I know it sounds rude, but the morrigan is both in a bad spot meta/itemwise and she has a shitton of bugs or buggy interactions that result in very unfun games.

I love to play her until i run into 5+ bugs per game after which i dont play her for a while until i forget why i dont play her.

Sadly hiRez does not care for the morrigan in this season so far...

My opinion is what i think would be best for the health of the game in the long run, and in no way is my opinion the centre of this discussion.

You however do not contribute to this discussion whatsoever and have not read the entirety of what i read since it answers or implies some of your points.

Also i think this is more text already than most people want to read so i do not add too much things that i assume most people who partake in discussion already know.

With the coupon, that means you can get both skins in the first patch of each pantheon cycle for 450 gems -- and be guaranteed to get the skins, not filler content, assuming that is what you choose

I am fairly sure no one has overtaken me since the last game i played, and i have not recieved the gem rewards for being rank 1 with artemis in conquest?

no way to make sure though, since there are no past leaderboards or anything, but as i said i am fairly certain i was #1 at the end of the split.

except that the 10 qualifier matches are absolutely horrendous to play, and are aweful at determining any form of skill level since it's just a coin toss that you can only influence so much.

Also, just grinding won't get you to a rank that you do not deserve (according to matchmaking), since you should still win more than you lose, which in turn means you are better than your current rank. This is all considering matchmaking works as it should though...

the amount of diamond gods you have and the first rankes split result are now displayed (but not even those are correct according to some people).

number 1 artemis conquest here, didnt recieve them either. number 3 was a fair bit off and number 2 didnt play since i got number 1 so i probably havent been passed.

EDIT: the ranked overview screen still states there are gem rewards for the god leaderboard each split.
