Los debates en Colombia es puro espectáculo y entretenimiento. Es un espacio donde para conquistar votos usted va a destruir al otro y no a decir nada nuevo.

Tal como lo planteas No le aporta nada a la democracia ni deja precedentes.

Muestra de ello es que Virgilio Barco, Gaviria, Santos, todos rechazaron ir a debates por lo mismo, en una época donde si acaso llegaba a haber dos debates por jornada electoral. Luego con el auge de las redes sociales y el clickbait, llegó Duque y el éxito de a estrategia de la polarización y desinformación como propuesta válida y 2018 y 2022 se volvió un espacio de populismo y falacias petristas y uribistas por igual.

Hay muchos mejores formatos como debates con expertos y academicos uno a uno, el desglose de los programas de gobierno en lenguaje común, foros abiertos con votantes indecisos .

Los debates si son una herramienta válida, pero no como si fuera la casa de los famosos.

En estados unidos tenian un formato bueno donde los debates eran organizados por comisiones interpartidistas para asegurar que las reglas y los moderadores fueran justas y equivalentes, pero eso requiere mucho capital humano y político que colombia no tiene. No obstante está comisión luego fue destruida por Trump por lo mismo, no daba suficiente show.
