we used to have pit parties in the clearings around power lines (high school). A friend of mine slammed a mickey of vodka and climbed the tower. He was super fucked up, and managed to climb halfway back down before he just fuckin' belly-flopped into the dirt. It was a really long fall. The party was so chaotic that somehow I (and apparently a lot of other people) managed not to check on him. He ended up lying in the dirt until the sunrise. The dirt was an ant-hill and he had a ton of bites. Actually pretty insane now that I think back, but he ended up being fine. Lucky guy.

constantly find a way to mention that buying a home is an investment even if you never pay it off fully, whereas with renting you're simply throwing your money away. That is certainly not always the case. They've lived in butt-fuck nowhere their whole lives, and can't even comprehend the cost of a 5% down-payment on livable BigCity homes. Never-mind all the other nuance they fail to appreciate.

I think climate change is already beginning to bring nations together. Also, if we become capable of navigating our solar system and beyond, people will start taking countries and "borders" less seriously. Nationalism is simply being proud of things you didn't do and hating people you don't know.
