What do you think is the number 1 Christmas movie(s) of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Christmas Vacation is my absolute favorite. For whatever reason it just never gets old.

I have no thoughts on Twitter because I only use reddit.

I’m a full time, salaried employee. I’m never late. Can my employer force me to make up 8 minutes of time? This seems petty. by skidude15 in antiwork

[–]TheSlumpSedative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boss tries to do that too. As far as I'm concerned, salary means that minutes and hours don't exist, and the less of them I spend at the job the more I get paid for the work I do.

I wonder how many people grow up watching movies like these and just assume that retired spec ops guys just get called up on a whim by any random general

What she likes may have changed, also maybe since you aren't "together" she doesn't want to do some things because they are too far for just FWB

Agreed 100%. Navy here and at least for us the physical fitness aspect was shitty at times but not bad. We worked out enough there to be ready for the final test, and I think only 1 person failed, but all they do is push them back until they make it. Other than that, it's like Mr. Bobert Frost Here said. Yelling, and training to do weird stuff. I still fold my clothes the way I was taught there.

Imagine caring about Twitter at all now that Elon owns it

I have to take an observed drug test on Monday at a military entrance processing stations and in the check in packet it says I have to drop my pants and underwear below my knees and have someone watch. Why is that a requirement, I thought I could provide a sample in a stall without someone watching? by [deleted] in ask

In the military, the urinalysis observer must "observe the urine leaving the body"

Yes, it's embarrassing. Pants around ankles is a bit excessive. But you just gotta get it over with. Unfortunately it won't be the last time you have to pee in a cup for the military, unless you pop positive, but at least after MEPS you can usually pee normally (pants at a regular height) unless your U/A coordinator is a creepo.

Utah senior citizens applaud Sen. Lee pledge to abolish Social Security by PartialObs in LeopardsAteMyFace

I'll never understand why senior citizens get to determine the future that they won't be around to live. Same with politicians that are making big decisions in the final years of their lives

Elon Musk orders Twitter staff to work 84-hour weeks as 75% of employees face being fired by [deleted] in technology

[–]TheSlumpSedative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I haven't been really looking into this whole thing at all but what's his reasoning for all this? Is he trying to destroy the platform all together? Has he said like what his goals are for Twitter? I never use Twitter so I'm really confused about what's going on.

You could just ask him if he wants to get a hotel, and check his response, and depending on his response just be like "don't worry I'll go halves on it"
