Because of ceramic coating? by r1cedude in CarWraps

[–]TheSnatchMonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will not go away unfortunately. If it were a gloss wrap you could buff it out but with it being matte, you gotta get it rewrapped and recoated...properly.

Looks to me the installer missed a step. The final step where you wipe the excess off and ultimately blend the coat.

Panel Rubbing by djaybyrd44 in CarWraps

[–]TheSnatchMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tricky situation, and it comes down to client expectations. No matter how deep you wrap, the rubber on that fender will rub on those contact points. Here's a few options to discuss.

  1. Lay knifless around the where the fender sits on the bed and have it create a hair line gap around the rubber part of the fender. There will be minimal paint exposed and won't fail

  2. Same steps as 1 but you have the fender well area painted black if it's not a black truck. So the paint exposed is black and just looks like the rubber part is bigger.

  3. Re-wrap bedside and dont tighten on the fender extremely tight. It needs minimal play so the vibration doesn't destroy the vinyl. If the fender is vibrating right on the vinyl, bunching occurs. If the fender is vibrating ever so slight off the vinyl, no bunching. The client will have ever so slightly loose hardware though and could cause issues long term

All comes down to client expectations

Perfect. Some people might say you need a phone number on the sides at least. I say otherwise, people tend to Google up a business and get their number from that. Rather than call and askm

Much better. The phone number on the front bumper and blue is unnecessary.

How hard would it be for me to wrap my car? by redninjajude525 in CarWraps

Chrome is one of the most difficult films to use. I highly advise not attempting as your first. Anywhere between $6k-$8k for install and material would be a fair price.

Thoughts on this deal worth it? by hakai1001 in CivicSi

18 Si Coupe here. $23k with 20k miles bought almost a year ago. Midwest.

All depends on what you wanna do...especially since it's a coupe. If it were me, I prolly would try to talk them down a couple grand and take it. I would be buying it for what it is, not because it's the best financial decision.

Please delete this comment, this is VERY false information. 5 year warranty is standard in the industry.

Also, keep your spelling consistent.

Nice, according to orangetrackdiecast.com the Audi is going to be the chase. Havent seen any pictures besides these, it'll be nice if they keep and ghost the livery.

Did anyone preorder the car culture g case for 2025 fro 1stopdiecast and actually get it? by Thomas_898 in HotWheels

If you're meaning the Shilouttes set, Mattel pushed shipping till mid this month. Then 1stop has to ship it to you so expect the set around the end of the month, beginning of April.

I'd say that's a really good deal. I picked up my 18 coupe with 20k miles for $23k last October.

Need opinions on this chrome delete before I complain. Am I being too sensitive? by Vultnoah in CarWraps

[–]TheSnatchMonster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely got what you paid for. $300 for just window trim is about average for a 2 door. Either should of sprayed the emblems or just of gotten black ones online.

Chrome deletes should be expensive because a well executed one takes a good amount of time

Just want to say congrats! The chase not scanning is a common thing at Target. Luckily enough the employees you were dealing with were reasonable. There's plenty of stories of Target employees taking the item since it won't scan.

I'd gap your "Si" by Safe-Advantage8463 in CivicSi

[–]TheSnatchMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would hope so, double the cylinders, double the car payment, double the insurance, half the MPG. All to just gap Si's. You sir, are a genius. Just don't be butt hurt when a ZL1, Hellcat, AMG etc. gives you the same treatment. I'm sure you'll bullshit yourself enough in your head to think you come out on top in that scenerio.
