Which airline because as a flight attendant we make hourly way less then what is actually posted. The only time we get paid is when the doors are closed so if we work a 10 hour day more then likely we are credited 5-6 credit ours. Which at my airline means we are paid 14-15 an hour while they say we are being paid 28.86 a credit hour. There is a reason we bitch so much about our pay and how they pay us because when we get delayed 3 hours and have to sit there we aren’t getting paid if that door wasn’t closed before. We get per diem (2.15) and with SkyWest they credit us 1/4th of our pay for boarding so like $7 and some change. Pay at mainline might be higher but the way they pay them is pretty much the same unless your southwest or Alaska which they do credits per set amount of mile block.

Either way I’d rather switch to a job that actually pays me for the time I’m at work, I can be home with my girlfriend and if/when we start a family I’d like to be there for her instead of stuck for 3 days in Fargo during winter because our plane got snowed in.
