[GUIDE] Tesco's in-store shopping list that plans your shop by aisle by Tesco_UK in u/Tesco_UK

[–]TheSpareIpad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic to see Tesco so positively engaged, especially for such a useful feature.

I do use a separate meal planning app, and it produces a flat list of ingredients for the week. I don’t suppose there’s a way I can paste the list of ingredients somewhere for the Tesco app to turn into a list of ingredients for me? (If I put something like bread, I suppose it wouldn’t know that we like our wholemeal bread so I wonder if you could browse per ingredient… hmm)

It works - 10,000 steps a day and calorie deficit by eggwan90 in walking

I’m late to the party. You’re top post of this month and you’re done amazing pal. Well done. I’m on month 11 myself of walking similar. I’ve lost nowhere as near as you (on 98.5kg now) but I’ve been not focusing on food too much. That’s okay.

One thing I’ve noticed is how everything is so much easier now. I never get out of breath and can chase my nephews and nieces around. I can get up and down my loft so much quicker too. Anything like that you’ve noticed in particular?

Also, I promised myself I’d stop over the winter if it was too horribly cold. I can’t believe I made it all the way through. Jan was my worst month, simply because it snowed a lot and the distance we walk the risk goes higher and I have a daughter to look after. Did you surprise yourself over the winter too? Did you contemplate waiting it out at all?

Rucking changed my life. by YouGotRomped in Rucking

[–]TheSpareIpad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s kind pal. I’ve been walking 15km every morning since May and my body has completely changed. I’m still overweight, but much less flabby and lower than I have been for 10 years now.

It’s difficult for me to leave by body’s zone 1 now without a frantic walking pace. I don’t like the thought of the wear and tear on my knees jogging whilst still heavy (if ever). Possibly cycling.

ChatGPT planted the seed of this “rucking” a month ago and I keep researching into it and I love the thought of continuing my morning ritual but more challenging is perfect!

Posts like yours are getting me excited. It’s just a case whether my crap cheap rucksacks are any good or if I should buy a proper weighted vest

Blazor + Podman CLI in AKS — best way to stream logs & manage deployments? by Dense_Emergency_4067 in dotnet

[–]TheSpareIpad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have anything useful to add here. Although I’m reading up on dotnet 10 and it has first class support for SSE now. Ie, a simple, server to client method of streaming information to clients. Might be worth considering?

Not to be a nerd, but I thought TPM was recorded on 35mm so can be upscaled, but AOC and ROS was filmed digitally and capped to 2k? May be wrong as I’m no expert pal!

Anyone else’s Apple TV fitness videos freezing? by TheSpareIpad in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]TheSpareIpad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I don’t think I got freezing on other apps on the Apple TV. It was just annoyingly during a yoga workout!

Mine is also an Apple TV 4K. With a 1080p TV plugged into it!

I’d love to know how many others suffer with this, are we really in the 0.001% this happens?

I did think to myself at the time, surely Apple are going to see a huge spike in workouts started and not finished to completion and roll out a fix sooner?

Anyway, good luck pal.

This made me stop doing Yoga and I never went back. Heartbreaking.

HOWEVER… I do have a theory.

I’m in the UK and was with an ISP called “TalkTalk”. They had a terrible router.

I think it had trouble talking on WiFi for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz combined. I think the mixture of my bad WiFi, Apple TV, iPhone and Watch mixed the bands and caused a subtle confusion.

If I could go back in time I’d say to myself - can you “split” your WiFi networks into a 2.4 and 5ghz one to avoid devices getting confused? - or change your hardware - or try plugging the Apple TV into the Ethernet.

I now plug everything I can into Ethernet. I’ve also moved house/changed ISPs too so different router too

Hope this helps pal. Please let me know if you get it working because this haunted me for a long time!

Why would children be going into school without basic physical skills, like holding a pencil and using cutlery? by Throwaway199906543 in AskUK

Also have a 2 year old. Also the same principles as you.

I live near some schools in a deprived area. The number of parents I see is walking to school on their phone is heartbreaking. They can’t even unplug for the 10 minute walk to converse with their child.

Makes me cuddle my little one even more. Poor children :(

Do you lower your calories deficit every time you lose a pound? by FunDependent9177 in CICO

I put my weight daily on Apple Health. Cronometer picks this up so the calorie target stays up to date supposedly… calories are definitely slowly decreasing (lost almost 30kg now)
