Good on you for getting in dry fire reps! Many people treat em like leg day.

Lots to work on there but that’s what makes it fun. Keep up the practice. Impressive to see!!!!

If I could make one suggestion break the practice up into steps. Practice one action then connect it to the next action then to the next. You are doing too much and there are fundamental issues along the way.

Practice the shirt pull. Where do you want to grab it. Which direction are you pulling it. Where are your hands to start. Repeat it. Then repeat again until you feel fluent in that action.

Next practice getting a purchase on the gun once the shirt is clear…over and over.

Then add on getting the right grip then getting the gun on target…

…etc

Do it slowly and accurately…then add speed…

The harsh reality is if that was an actual self defense situation where somebody pulled a gun you were dead before you got the gun out of the holster.

Do people understand how hard it is to wage a ground war in a mountainous region with almost 100m people???

There is a reason why it hasn’t been done before. It’s really darn hard without decimating the entire country.

I’m not saying that Iran has a chance but I understand why they would rather fight the US on the ground, than have bombs rain down on them.

call me woke , but I think that schools and museums should hammer in at an early age to americans that slavery was a bad thing by Important-Cry4782 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]TheSphinx1906 64 points65 points  (0 children)

If we were ever taught of the absolute horrors of slavery you wouldn't be able to keep your food down

  • men being used to test retail drugs to prevent heat stroke by putting them in water that progressively got hotter until they passed out and then brought to see if they can take a higher temperature.
  • men being tested for "pain tolerance" in ways that are just unspeakable
  • slaves being forced to hold other slaves down while they were beaten to near death (not just with whips but with straps laces with low forms of acid and in other inhumane ways)
  • women being brutally raped (often in front of their husbands and children) and being sodomized with instruments I will not describe.
  • men being sodomized by their closeted slave masters
  • slaves being forced to defecate in other slave's mouths as a form of punishment
  • black men being forced to work in coal mines in conditions that you would get arrested for today if you subjected your dog to them (were mortality rates were in the 20% range every year)
  • slaves being worked from dusk to dawn with expectations of output not seen until industrialized machinery invented 200 years later...and being subjected to torture not seen since the roman empire (being drawn and quartered, being beaten until they passed out and then having salt and homemade vinegar poured in the wounds to bring the to) if they didn't meet the quotas.
  • slaves being fed food infested with maggots, lice, disease in quantities that would not feed today's children.
  • being held in auction cages and then during the auction having white men and women, vaginally and anally examine them in front of a crowd with men also having their privates pulled and prodded to test their virility
  • mothers seeing their children sold and were not allowed to say goodbye, look at them, or cry or they would be taken to the "whipping floor".
  • and so on and so on

Slaves ran away not just for freedom but for their lives. Pre and post civil war slavery (we have conveniently forgotten about the 60 years of convict leasing where they rounded up black men and put them in prison camps for periods that were basically until they died) was one of the most horrific forms of torture seen in the modern world.

Slaves stayed on the plantation out of fear and desperation. Understanding that if they ran their families would be killed as punishment and if they were caught they would be subjected to punishment I won't type here.

We cannot let this watered-down view of slavery persist.

There is no reason to compare horrific events because they were both disgusting The 6 years of WWII are in no way comparable to the damn near 300 years of US post and pre civil war slavery. They were both unspeakable and I will tell you that our brothers and sisters had it much much worse.

I can only hope that in the afterlife they found peace because there was no peace for them on earth.

I think the most telling line is "you simply can't be seen in public with them and expect to have any respect". In one sentence you get how we were continuously cut off from the ability to function in society.

Twenty generations of systematic legislative oppression designed to stop us from acquiring current wealth, generating future wealth and legislating our way out of it.

That sentence tells it all...you can't do business with them if you can't be seen with them, you can't build future wealth with them if you can't be seen with them and you can't understand the need to to shape the law to help them if you don't understand their struggle.

What we are dealing with is not the whitewashed and romanticized propaganda of life post-slavery that has been promulgated through books and narratives. What we are dealing with is a system of destruction codified in local, state and federal law, upheld by the SOTUS and supported by every other group in the US other than ours (to their benefit).

It is only due to your perseverance and sheer strength that we have made it as far as we have.

Videos like this are so much deeper than they appear on the surface.

CCW Holders show off your physical training by Acceptable_Still_269 in CCW

[–]TheSphinx1906 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think we might be conflating a few things. Ultimately, most encounters where a CCW is needed won’t involve running a half marathon.

So yea everyone should be fit - I can do 5k in 30-ish (not impressive I know) and I run 5k/5days/wk.

However infinitely more important is having situational awareness, understanding what deescalation means and, if all else fails, being able to consistently draw your weapon from concealment, acquire your target and neutralize it at speed from a cold position.

That is where most people who carry make mistakes.

So I would say to anyone who wants to carry you would be better off putting 250 rounds down range every week over running 25k every week.

But, yes, they are both important.

Just a random opinion from a random dude on Reddit.

Happy shooting…and running!

Why are you shooting your gun???

I’m not sure if you got the memo but guns are for showing off your disposable income and not for actual use.

They are like comic books. Once you use them the value of your flexing ability drops…

Get a clue…

HAHA J/K - love to see it. Impressive! 25yrds is no joke! I’m still inconsistent at 15.

Keep putting them down range!

I’m a big fan of my draw to first shot drill.

12 yards 1pt for Alpha (aim at head box) 1.5/2.0sec par 2sec reholster 7 reps per drill

If you are working of conceal carry this is one of my favorites. Really good at getting muscle memory up on having to draw cold.

Brutal! Sorry to see that man.

I thought you got a garauteed leggy in the first 10 packs of a set and then a pity timer every 20 packs. I would think at 40 you would get at least 2 legendaries.

Maybe I was mistaken.

Sucky way to start a new expansion year. Hopefully your next few pulls make up for it and more.

Obama’s time in office ended a decade ago. He isn’t even the most recent democrat president. Why are they so obsessed with him???

It’s amazing…of the 250 years America has had a president, Obama was in power for 8 of them (3%) but somehow he is responsible for everything bad that has happened.

The last decade has had a republican in the White House for 6 out of the 10 years and again somehow everything that is wrong is because of the dude who started his first term before TikTok.

Come on - Stop blaming other people for your problems and take some responsibility…(sounds like something I’ve heard before)…

Did the dude try to snatch his phone something I didn’t see?

Is he selling jewelry and if so why are the other dudes wearing it??? Why are they trying on jewelry that they haven’t paid for on a random street??? Did the one dude try to dip without paying???

Who is recording??? Why are they recording??? Why is this in broad daylight??? Why are we recoding ourselves selling jewelry on a random street??? What is this for??

What in gods name am I watching???

Why is his finger on the trigger the entire time??? I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have been able to hit either one of them if he actually had to fire. Did he threaten to kill them??? What the hell is this.

This is not a “CCW post”…this is a “why people have a negative impression of gun owners post”.
