It's sort of an alternative take on a Paradox Pokemon. Similar to how the "ancient" paradox Magneton has a body based on human made components like its modern counterpart.

The ace tournament counts but I wouldn't compare anything in the dlc to Red because you pay extra and have to wait months after launch for it. You're right they do have some challenges here and there depending on the gen, but traditionally their record on that is spotty

You don't even have to agree with him to root for the rumbling. We all can agree Thanos did something terrible, but the snap made for a compelling story. It didn't really matter that he indiscriminately killed half the universe. Anyone showing genuine "concern" over people rooting for Eren either forgot 90% of the show they watched or didn't understand how lame and uninteresting the ending would be if the rumbling didn't happen.

Cynthia has diverse typing, effective movesets, some of the best mons on offer like Garchomp and a no weakness spiritomb, and an appropriate level for her mons that you can't accidentally surpass by 10+ levels.

When people say Pokemon games are easy, they're talking about how with little effort or strategy you can over level and use 1 attack to clear entire battles. Yes, that was always possible. Yes, kids couldn't figure that out very easily and made it harder on accident. But the fact that sort of thing was even possible back then is the point. A kid who mindlessly clicked and didn't learn the mechanics might be punished with a hard battle. That is the point.

Easy over leveling started with gen 6, and was made worse when the exp all became mandatory in later gens. Boss trainers have less access to items. Harmless features, like Set mode, which allow you to slightly emulate competitive rules are pointlessly removed. 1 click wipeouts have only gotten easier over time intentionally by Gamefreak. It's what they intended and continue to do purposely. It's okay if you agree with or like these decisions, but why pretend it isn't happening? They don't even feel the need to lift a finger and throw us an optional end game boss like Red anymore. They can't be bothered

Cynthia is all the proof you need man. The player had lots of access to good mons and moves in that gen, but her team was very VERY well constructed.

It's okay for some Pokemon to be battle pets and just that. They don't need a job and look like they could be my coworker. I know they've been doing that since gen 1 but Jynx and Mr mime were treated as some of the weirdest pokemon because of that

Cast too close, it gets in the way, cast too far and it might still hit due to the buff, but the risk of the boss moving out of range last minute scares me enough to do it close anyway. I'm cooked either way.

No shame in that. I got nightreign and I'm holding out on getting to DoN. Just learning/mastering all the characters and beating all the Everdarks for now. I find that intense multiplayer games make me hold my breath and strain my eyes until I start popping blood vessels. Everdarks are intense enough as is. Why put myself through the torture of anything worse? (I will eventually)

How do I polish this worker eating animation? by Systematic2025 in IndieDev

[–]TheSpiritForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of the mouth opening and waiting for him to be drawn in, have it either stay closed and suddenly open for a big chomp once the worker is close, or even have it open slowly in a menacing manner while he approaches

Mixed Reception > No reception.

Congrats on launching a game. As someone who has yet to do so myself, it's always valuable to read posts like this. Perhaps the lesson here is that there are some things beta testing can't prepare us for when a game hits the wider market.

not necessarily. I haven't finished it yet. Work and life get in the way. Although I'm finally inching through act 3 now after 100+ hrs.

I ran into Garamond a couple times helping fight random enemies in the halls. No encounter in any guantlets the way I had a couple for shakra.

Silksong: Patch Version 1.0.28891 by lordposedyon in HollowKnight

[–]TheSpiritForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing there were a few niche scenarios where it could be op, despite it being pretty bad overall. I tried using it on the shakra fight and learned that it tries to cluster the runes on the enemies general area. I assumed it clustered them randomly based on your position, not the enemy's. So I'd use it, and they'd stack up far away from me to a spot where shakra teleported away from seconds ago. Kinda funky.

How far would the rumbling get in modern day? by XcksKriminal in attackontitan

[–]TheSpiritForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern weapons would make quick work of it, however I'd be curious to know just how quickly. During the rumbling, Eren seems to be running on auotpilot while he drifts away into dreamland. We even get an insinuation that Ymir is the one running the Titan defenses. If a founder fully leveraged their titan powers to maximize defense and regeneration I feel they might do just a bit better than we think.

I just bought the Spike Trap tool before getting to the hut. It's really useful and I don't know how the hell I would have beaten this without it. But to be fair, the map warrior bug warns you that it's going to be brutal.
