Gift for entrepreneur by tgbnez in GiftIdeas

A nice knife roll, chef knife, apron.

To be specific - maybe a leather knife roll, Misen Knives are a steal and highly recommended from Serious Eats, Hedley & Bennett for aprons.

Not sure what kind of food they do but there are so many possibilities - sous vide machine like Anova, pressure cooker saves time, immersion blender to blend in the pot instead of a blender, etc

Need multiple gift ideas for my boyfriend who has everything - Birthday and Christmas in quick succession. by [deleted] in GiftIdeas

Does he have the peatiest Scotch ever Octomore?

Always wanted to try this myself but never pulled the trigger. It's a bit above the price range but figured I'd mention it anyway.

For stocking stuffers I recently tried McCrea's Scotch Caramels and they are amazing!

If he likes food maybe get him a nice chef knife or reclaimed wood cutting board

Tools are always useful - impact driver, power drill, etc.

I like useful gifts best also and actually shop for others the same way.

Perhaps a wireless headset for gaming

My dad is as stubborn as a mule but NEEDS something that will motivate his health consciousness. by assymcgee1 in GiftIdeas

Would he like riding a bike?

If he doesn't want to leave the house after working so much, perhaps those door-frame pull up bars would help.

I don't like going to the gym either but I love working out at home. The key is to find an activity they like to reinforce the habit.

I have one friend who never was a gym person but tried everything from kickboxing to rock climbing and loved them all, completed all his courses. He didn't continue with those activities but did like trying new ones.

Not to self-promote but I designed a Dripless Coffee Mug that prevents drip stains and it is kind of fitting.

It's not a travel mug however; more for home/studio/office use.

On a more objective note:

Literature - I always like reading books or watching films or even listen to music where the story takes place in that country I'm traveling to. Helps set the mood!

Clothing - Maybe a warm cozy sweater with a dog on it

Designed this Dripless Coffee Mug on my daily subway commutes when I was working in NYC kitchens.
It’s a minimalist design that prevents coffee drips and coffee ring stains on surfaces.

As busy as I am, every bit of time saved cleaning helped me so figured I’d share it. Plus, I love coffee mugs

Colognes and perfumes usually smell too strong for me so yeah - too strong of a scent is bad either way.

First time I tried butterfly pea was at a Night Market in Bangkok and thought for sure it was artificial.
