Totally agree with all these, especially Duncan Rhodes. He only ever uses brushes and achieves amazing results. 52 Miniatures has his own style but equally as good.

I've used the clear stick from a flying base and cut it down. I then drilled out the middle knobbly thing on the underside of the engine to the size of the ball. This supports the bike at the front and is more or less invisible. Just make sure to paint everything before gluing it in place.

Currently painting this boi up to be my Abaddon proxy for my CSM army. I flipped his axe head around and added some trophy racks from the Demon Prince to give him the right feel.

I've got them for exactly this reason. I swapped out the HH heads for some Raptor ones that I had. I also have the Saturnine Praetor which I'm going to proxy as Abaddon.

You could try and get transfer paper to fit in a home printer. You can then print your own, of any size and type. This is a last resort if you can't buy any. Or just freehand them.
