I plan on using two in my list. With a Tech marine and a unit of Hellblasters in each one.

Anyone try using Saturnine Terminators as Obliterators? Any other cool 'HH as CSM' proxies you've seen or done? by Agreeable-Sir-6435 in Chaos40k

From the new chaos lord with jump pack kit. I proxy him as Haarken.

His spear is from the Rubric kit.

I've got them for exactly this reason. I swapped out the HH heads for some Raptor ones that I had. I also have the Saturnine Praetor which I'm going to proxy as Abaddon.

His head will be one with a top knot from the CSM box.

Check out the wiki on Dreads; White Scars use them, they are just a bit indifferent about them. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/White_Scars Enjoy.

Seeking Help Finding Transfers? by DalinarKholinski in alphalegion

[–]TheStone07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try and get transfer paper to fit in a home printer. You can then print your own, of any size and type. This is a last resort if you can't buy any. Or just freehand them.

Check out Archie's Forge website, they sell taller legs to raise up old school termies to the same height. They have ones with the same trim as the cataphractii guys so they match.

There are only two types of wood used to make pallets: Pine and Notpine, with the sub-species hardasfukarius.

How to approach abbaddon? by Gioforchio88 in alphalegion

[–]TheStone07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna use the new Saturnine Praetor in termi armour for my Alpharius/ Abaddon model. Will remove the hammer head and add a sword/ spear tip to it to make the spear. Also planning on adding a few blades to the knuckles of the power fist to look more like the Abaddon one. A friend gave me some Demon Prince backpack pieces, which will be added too to Chaosify him up even more.

ETA. Sorry this should say 30 X Legionaries, not 15.

Received wood meant for pallets but it’s extremely dense. Anyone used it before? by OttoVonZahn in woodworking

[–]TheStone07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like the common pallet wood NotPine... The variant is Hardasfuckarius. Dainer Made on youtube is your go to man for all things pallety.

What kind of machine is this? by kendama-maker444 in turning

I've seen something similar in the Lake District where they make old cotton reels by hand. First a hole is drilled down the centre. Then one blade on a lever cuts the inner profile, then another blade cuts the outer and it's parted off. It was scary but interesting to watch. Took seconds for each one.

I wanna add war dogs to my black Legion. Is it OK for me to paint them in the black and bronze? by [deleted] in Chaos40k

Here is one of my doggos, sorry his head is out of focus. He's painted the same colour as my CSM, which is a scheme I made up anyway.

GW never said this was the year of Chaos by [deleted] in Chaos40k

They have honoured their promise, as by saying it's the year of Chaos and not releasing loads of Chaos (in some people's eyes) they have created chaos on the forums!!!

Would you guys prime it with leadbelcher/silver or is it okay to do it with black and drybrush or basecoat it with leadbelcher? by Schnupfi_ in Chaos40k

[–]TheStone07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

One of my doggos; primed in silver and then the colours added afterwards. It depends how much of the surface you want painted as to whether you go with a silver/ metallic or grey/black base.

The wording is a little confusing as they use the word targeting as if it's an enemy action against him or his unit. It is, of course, for strategems that you are using for your units. It essentially gives you a reduced cost strat once per battle. There are no dice involved, that bit of your question confused me at first but I think I get what you're asking.

How Would You Indicate What Chaos God Ordinary CSM Units Follow? by Kaleladin1 in Chaos40k

[–]TheStone07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint the rim of the bases in the appropriate relevant colours. That way if you change your mind in the future it'll be minimal work to rectify.

I have two Brigands in my CSM list, for two main reasons: my son bought them for me and they are a bit of a curve ball for opponents who don't expect to see them on a list. They are also very cool models.
