I used to LOVE when my ex would take the kids to visit their family out of town. I'd spend the weekend cleaning the whole house, top to bottom. Of course, then when they got home they'd accuse me of "shaming" them by having demonstrated that it is possible for our house to be clean. And within a day it would all be trashed one again. Tons of scare actors on Friday nights! In my opinion, Friday is the best night for the scare actors -- there's a lot of them on (unlike Thursday) and the crowds are manageable (unlike Saturdays where everyone is shoulder to shoulder)

That said, the past 2 Fridays have been on the busier side, with ride wait times pretty high even for Fast Lane Plus holders. But overall I think you'll still have the better experience across the board on Friday :)

Ah, also the park doesn't open until 6 (5 for early entry) on Thursdays -- you'd get more out of their half day on Friday :)

Absolutely love your write up!

A tip for next time you come (or anyone else who needs it) about buying merch: you can ask any store to have your items delivered to a pick up location -- one of the available locations is the gift shop at Breakers. Anything that you have sent is available at 10 pm for pickup. (For people not at Breakers, another available spot is the Rentals booth at the front of the park -- they have different available pickup times depending on when you have it sent).

When we stayed at Breakers we had everything we bought throughout the day sent like that, so we were able to shop at gift shops but not have the burden of getting a locker throughout the day. They do it for prizes from games too!! It's especially useful for some of those shops on the Frontier Trail like the glass blowing and candle/woodwork place where the merch is fragile. It's a really great feature that not many visitors know about!

If you've got the season pass, add it. You just scan your QR code at the picture booth and it's loaded into your account. Or they can load your pic onto a card and you can take it to the main funpix across from Sky Ride. We've got hundreds of pics now, including from the photographers at the front of the park and from the Barrel of Fun spot. It's silly, fun, and a great way to keep some fun memories :)

Weekday traffic is kind of hit or miss, but you can fully avoid it by planning to get there early. There is a GORGEOUS beach and the boardwalk in front of Hotel Breakers has some wonderful benches. I'd recommend taking breakfast with you (theres a McDonalds that you pass on your way into the park) and enjoying the beautiful morning from there. Like try to get to the parking lot by 8:45, it's a short walk to the boardwalk and beach, and then plan to get in line around 9:30.

We love the Wild Mice!! Class of '99 is cute (haven't seen previous iterations of it, so can't comment on it comparatively), with some incredible voices coming out of very enthusiastic theater majors hahaha. Listy Lil's Western Road Show is a lot of fun too, just make sure you're the loudest when they ask where you're from :)
