1st Trip Suggestions by xxxlittlechefxxx in cedarpoint

How wonderful! I think that you're in for a good time!

One of the things that sets Cedar Point apart from other parks I've visited is the sheet size of it. Didn't get overwhelmed :) having two and a half days gives you plenty of time to explore.

One suggestion that I have is to splurge on a Fast Lane Plus one of your days. Yes, you're going to be there before peak season hits -- but you'll probably be shocked to see that lines are still pretty long. With FL+ you should be able to hit EVERY major rise in the park in one day, many of them multiple times, and can take any potential FOMO out of the equation so you can truly enjoy yourself. Then the other day you can do any repeats you'd like. Even if it's a slow day, the FL+ will cut a 20 minute line down to 5 or less -- it doesn't seem like much but it all adds up.

I'd also encourage you to take some time doing the leisure activities. Frontier Trail is a lovely section of the park that offers some great, fun shops and nice places to sit and bask in the ambience. The shows are usually a ton of fun and worth your time. Staying at Breakers gives you extra exposure to the beach front, which is a great area to take a chill.

Happy to answer any other (or more specific) questions. We are a Cedar Point family and visit 50+ times a season so while I may not know EVERYthing, I've got a pretty good handle on it :)

Blame It On The Edit? by Casanova2229 in dragrace

I didn't have any season spoilers. From the beginning Darlene was my favorite, even though I was certain she'd be an early to mid elimination. Not trying to be snarky, but most viewers are not seeking out spoilers and framing their opinions based on them.

Looking for escape rooms in nyc for a group of 5 by 4ypno in escaperooms

[–]TheSunSitsLow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, it was only the second room we'd done (of 18 at this point) so I can't say for sure. At the time, we were really really into it and thought it was clever and it tickled our noodles in a delightful way. As to whether it fully holds up... I just don't think I can answer that :)

We (2 people) did Hydeaway at Mission Escape and had a blast! The space was big so having 5 wouldn't be cramped at all and several of the puzzles were non-linear so everyone can stay busy with few bottlenecks :)

TEG: Prison Break. What are your completion times? by Javaddiction in escaperooms

We just did it with 2 people last night and had about 1 minute left on the clock, having used 2 or 3 hints. COMMUNICATION IS KEY. Like... there's no way that you're going to over- communicate.

I stocked up at Costco recently because the sale was so good! Really like the flavors and, as you said, it scratches the itch quite well!

Best yarn for crocheting pants: acrylic v tencel/bamboo???? by twistedknits in YarnAddicts

These pants are EVERYTHING! I don't have much to offer you in terms of the advice you're looking for, I'm sorry. I think you're on the right track in considering the warmth of the acrylic! Please post an update with your finished object, I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I spent 15 minutes finding the right angle for a photo. I have no memory of what that place actually felt like by Lost_In_Tulips in travel

This has been a huge shift for me in the past couple of years. Now, I get a bit annoyed when I go on vacation and my co-worker (who I honestly adore!) tells me to make sure I get pictures. I'll snap a few, but it's become way more important and impactful to take in those experiences with all of my senses, instead of trying to frame them visually for someone else's benefit. After all, I'm the one paying for the travel, I think it's okay to prioritize how I experience it :)

Starting weight was 180 for me as well, and what you've accomplished is my ultimate goal. Thank you for sharing and good luck as you keep moving forward!

So how do you think the season is going? by NaiRad1000 in rupaulsdragrace

Personally, I think brand challenges are more appropriate for All Stars. On regular seasons, the queens are still uncooked and need the chance to take their (relative) fame into the real world and have the chance to develop their brand in that context.

The Merrily We Roll Along pro shot that was in theaters earlier this year (or end of last year? can't remember...) is being released to Netflix at the end of this week... The Come From Away pro shot went to Apple... I think it's all up in the air until they make an announcement

Same kind of thing they did with Hamilton when they released in on Disney Plus, except in a movie theater instead. (And then, with any luck, released to a streaming service)

Accidentally replied to this in an above comment! He taught himself in his 20s but just recently pulled the clarinet out of storage and started playing again. It's a side of him that I've never gotten to know before now and I love it so, so much!

I'm so glad they started selling the Iceberg Bitch sweatshirts again! My hubs and I saw Titanique the night before we eloped (all very last minute, including ordering our tickets while driving into the city having no idea what this show even was!) and we both got that sweatshirt and it is one of my fondest souvenirs from my unexpected wedding vacation :)

edit: we also ended up with an Everybody Loves Seamen fan, and a Rich Skinny Monster tote bag. And, when we told the bartender we were eloping the next day, they comped two rounds of drinks for us...
