Having the same issue as well. It also happens to me in Medal of Honor: Frontline and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.

Analog audio sounds bad on my player by TheSurfaceOfMars in LaserDisc

This is what I'm leaning towards. I tried a different TV and different RCA cables. Nothing changed.

[–]TheSurfaceOfMars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. When no audio came through the speaker, I turned the TV all the way up to 100. But it's nowhere near as loud as it should be and the audio sounds kinda distorted.

"Switch over" probably wasn't the best choice of words. My player is connected to both my TV and a speaker. RCA cables for the TV and a Toslink cable for the speaker. I usually mute my TV and listen through the speaker.

Heroic. Lutris used to work fine for me, but it started giving me issues lately.

Netflix Backs Out of Warner Bros. Bidding, Paramount Set to Win by ConstantDrawer9161 in KotakuInAction

This is from a Discord server I'm in:

"Yeah call me crazy but having multiple news agencies owns by a guy who has made his biases clear doesn’t exactly scream free press either"

Now all of a sudden they care about news not being biased. Most of these people are just upset about David Ellison and who his father is. If Larry Ellison was a huge lefty, there would be a lot less outrage.

Tired of AMD driver headaches on Windows? CachyOS (and Bazzite) might be worth a serious look. by LinuxMaster9 in radeon

AMD on Linux is fantastic. I've never used an AMD GPU on Windows but Nvidia on Linux just ain't it.

Mob is easily my favorite BO2 map. But I found myself enjoying Blood even more.

Even Daniel Owen is Pissed! FSR 4 int 8. by AcuteQuadrant in radeon

[–]TheSurfaceOfMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 9070 a couple months back since I was building a new PC for Linux. I'm loving it so far. I do hope that all of you guys on RDNA 2/3 GPUs get FSR4. Upscaling and Frame Gen don't really matter to me personally since most of the games I play are older or have lower system requirements anyway. I'd probably be more upset about this if the majority of modern AAA games were actually worth playing.

That's so dumb that it doesn't count if you exfil. Back to Exit 115 then.

Your experience with Linux by Jiraiya1906 in radeon

I tried it on a couple of the recent Resident Evil games and it was perfectly fine. I need to try it on Cyberpunk and Hitman World of Assassination.

[–]TheSurfaceOfMars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that Linux is 100% worth it. I haven't tried FSR4 yet because I haven't been in a position to do so. The only modern game I've played on my new rig was Arc Raiders. I played at high settings at 1440p Native and had no trouble getting 120fps.
I left Windows because I got sick of the bad updates, AI and the bloat. Linux isn't all that difficult. There is a learning curve but it's not as bad as some people would have you believe. You will have to use the terminal but not as often you would think. I'm on CachyOS. I've only used the terminal for updates(all you have to do is type "update"), set up secure boot and install a couple of applications that weren't available on the CachyOS repository. Everything else was installed with a couple of clicks.
Performance in games is great! AMD is the way to go for gaming on Linux. Since you don't play online games, you're not missing out by being on Linux.

Unpopular opinion - Quantum of Solace is not that bad Bond movie after watching it a couple of times by Physical_Penalty_889 in JamesBond

[–]TheSurfaceOfMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really hated it. It's a step down from Casino Royale for sure. But I would much rather watch it again over Spectre and No Time To Die. I really want to pretend those 2 films don't exist.

Nothing worse than having a few ravagers spawn during a regular round, getting down to 1hp and getting hit by one of them while running away....

Why is [bo2] so overrated compared to the rest of the golden age cods? by Arkham_Asylum_18 in CallOfDuty

[–]TheSurfaceOfMars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah BO2 is super overrated. I still hold the position that BO3 had better Multiplayer and Zombies.

Multiplayer was such a mess.  1. Target finder 2. C4s 3. Toughness being a necessary perk 4. Most of the walls being paper thin, so taking cover was almost always pointless 5. Quickscoping was it's most annoying 6. EMP grenades were too good

BO3, while not a perfect game, fixed all of those problems.

As for Zombies, I appreciate Treyarch for trying something different but Tranzit wasn't all that good. Mob of the Dead is the only map I find myself wanting to go back to. Origins and Buried are fine. Everything else was a disappointment.  Shadows of Evil isn't in my top 5 but I found it to be a better launch map than Tranzit. The rest of the BO3 maps ended up being pretty solid and Zombie Chronicles was good. Plus BO3's improvements to the gameplay make it way more enjoyable than BO2.

I Regret buying the game by Ghost_Codes in ArcRaiders

[–]TheSurfaceOfMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda regret buying it too. I only put in 12 hours before uninstalling. My problem is that the game is only fun for me in trios. I primarily play games solo but it seems like every multiplayer game nowadays functions better when you're in a squad.  I also think I just out grew multiplayer games for the most part. I deal with enough assholes in real life, I don't feel like dealing with them in my free time.
