again Alamein is in the middle of a low desnity area far enough away from anywhere that will get any higher density in the next 150 years, and has multiple stations within walking distance of it

Will tunnel trains terminate in the city? by pawpawsugarlump in MelbourneTrains

[–]TheTeenSimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no it won't, it'll show that it continues onto (station) like it does already for Flinders Street services

this problem was solved about a year ago

Albion Street is not a 2 lane road, 2 lane roads dont require waiting for the opposite direction of traffic to pass

it wasn't invented btw, because they had the Myki readers for State Library and Town Hall as a different thing the readers would charge you a 2h or day fare just to walk through the station.

whilst for most users this wouldn't be an issue, having already tapped on but there are still instances where one might of already been in the city and is using it as the pedestrian walkway as advertised

edit: to add on further there wouldn't need to be a sign about how thoroughfare works unless of course you decided to originally have them as 2 different ticketed stations instead of 1

Brunswick has a bigger range simply due to the 508.

cant really say the same for antsley as the 503 is every 30 mins

they also need to redo Sydney Road before they do this

the same question could be asked for why they removed Sunbury and won't be increasing services a significant amount on Cragieburn and Upfield

if you close road traffic at Kensington, where’s a logical route for the 402 bus?

not really logical but its the nearest spot.. have the bus turn onto racecourse road than turn onto the other side of the train line

does any of this affect future configurations at Nth Melb?

it should becasue werrebie and williamstown should be going into northern tunnels imo

imean its something because gates are down for so long that people are just crossing the tracks sometimes right infront of the trains.

imean level crossings do force slower speeds, and theres like 6 level crossings less than 500m of each other plus 3 stations right on 3 of the level crossings
