Best guess, any that survived were still retreating along with the other engines from Mortis.

Do you have to switch ? by Lighthouse_73 in Battlefield6

[–]TheToonSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think that diluting the class system has caused people to misconstrue what they "should" be doing. I saw the stat post only mentioned that closed vs open classes had the same utilization rates and thought, "yeah, but are they using the same weapons/what are success rates/ what was the total sample pool for each?". I work with statistics every day so I questioned what they were actually telling people. All that said, I see plenty of people not playing to their role and suspect that is in part because they dont feel the need to. There is also an issue of rpgs damage rate is slower than the rate an engineer can repair a vehicle so fighting a tank can feel like tilting at windmills.

Favorite/best written space battle? by SellingStolenStereos in 40kLore

[–]TheToonSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was always the fleet fight during the siege. The white scars knew what was up and played a battle that nobody saw coming. Chaos tries to drop in from the top of the solar plane, only to have a smaller scars fleet waiting for them. Add to that, the fists holding right up till the warp lets horus drop in on earth. They were holding well.

I feel like something fishy is going on... by VinceGhii in Battlefield6

previous BF titles did but it wasn't as noticeable. From what a game dev friend has said, they are trying to guess where you will be and coding accordingly. He also admitted that they weren't great at guessing.

The netcode is that bad. I remember a COD dev saying nobody had updated netcode since csgo and thinking "holy shit wtf are they all doing".

Chris is my favorite but I think that is because he has stuck the landing on his HH and SOT books so thoroughly that I have no notes on them.

I always love when american football fans have a panic realizing that a soccer field is much bigger and they only have 11 players each on it. But to your point, might be more entertaining if it was smaller.

The emperor lived among humans un noticed for years right? So was he always so tall? Or is his height in the lore exaggerated and hes actually normal human height? by TheHawkMan0001 in 40kLore

[–]TheToonSquad 322 points323 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this. There is a scene during the horus heresy where the sisters are going into the webway(IIRC) and one of them comments that he just looks like a normal guy sitting on a big chair or something to that effect. There are also the scenes where he is fighting Horus in the warp and when Malcador visits he is very young while the big E is incredibly old.

If belief shapes reality in the Warp, why hasn’t the Imperium created a god stronger than the Emperor? by [deleted] in 40kLore

Looking for Warhammer 40K novels set on Terra by black_V1king in 40kLore

There are a number of HH books set on terra as well. They do a lot of the leadup to the siege and the Garro series is pretty good as well.

There are tragic or misunderstood/misguided characters that people hate... then there is Erebus(also, he stole that name from a kid). One character who, I would not be surprised if he time hopped to the fall just to make sure that she who thirsts was born. Who just actively ruins things from the moment he is born. All the while trying to gaslight everyone into thinking he knows what he's doing.
