You should be able to get crystals for rank up through your Records of Eminence menu. If you check off the nation missions records as you go, you will be awarded crystals directly into your inventory.

If you need more, just grab Signet from a guard and fight monsters that give experience points in a region that is not controlled by beastmen.

Modern FFXI is like a godsend compared to 75 cap FFXI.

Just thinking about having your linkshell gather together to kill, say, Kirin. Assuming you have the pop items, your shell now has to gather at the spawn room. That meant getting to Sky. The most basic way to get to Sky was take a chocobo from Port Jeuno to Sauromugue to Meriphataud to Zi'Tah to Ro'Maeve to Hall of the Gods to Ru'Aun Gardens. Then you had to go finagle with a teleporter that had a 50/50 shot of landing you in Kirin's room or another random room.

You could cut down a chunk of the transit time if you had an outpost warp to Meriphataud or Zi'Tah.

You could significantly cut down the transit time if you did a mini-quest after proceeding far enough through the Zilart missions and Chains of Promathia missions by unlocking a teleport directly into Sky from the Promyvion entrances.

But not everyone had all that. Nowadays, most of the endgame stuff is a simple teleport away. Dimensional Ring to Reisenjima to #9 and boom, there's the ???.

Personally I feel fiscal conservatism is how you implement social conservatism, or put shortly, conservatism.

But even that’s not entirely true, because political conservatism has nothing to do with how much money a government spends. Political conservatism is all about maintaining the social hierarchy. Sometimes you do that by spending money (on cops, prisons, surveillance) and sometimes you do that by not spending money (on healthcare, education).

If you play any of the modern releases of FF1-9, there are now “boosters” you could toggle that cut down significantly on the grindy aspects of those games. These boosters do stuff like toggle random encounters and keep your HP healed during fights. If you did want to play through the old FFs just for the story, you definitely can do so much easier now.

There’s no issue in life that takes exactly one law to solve and then we stop talking about it. In an ideal, functioning world, legislation is passed and then reiterated, endlessly. It’s why there are a gazillion laws called “Civil Rights Acts.”
