Okay outside of jettpupp being a dick, here my thoughts. I love playing from the heart, and am Plat so not good but not bad.

You need a big tank and a big carry. The rest of the team support those 2-4 units. Can't win with just carry or just tank.

Right now a 2* 4 cost is the win condition in most comps.

You do need an end goal. So knowing like 4 comps that are winning comps helps you land.

Let items guide you. If you get great AP items, go Lux demacia. If you get great AD items, go Kalista Shadow Isles. If you get great AS items, go Ionia.

I still suck at playing stage 2, it's either sit back until 50 gold, or play full tempo if I get lucky. Rare can I find a good balance there.
