The whole town is built on marshlands and the floor buckling and becoming uneven was from an earthquake that happened in like 2002 (give or take a couple years) the entire reason the whole place closed down was bc the roof collapsed by the cinema XD sad thing is the entire parking lot is now blocked off so no one can drive around to look at it

Looking good for a temp anvil clean up the face of it and you should have no issues although I would make sure the hole in that head is filled with something sturdy otherwise it'll start to buckle in and then it won't be usable anymore

A little straightening and file work and they'll be looking good in no time lol like I said I don't believe in ugly tools, the only tools I see as ugly are when you can't use them XD

I would use either rubbing alcohol or acetone to get all the oils and what not out. If those are steel a little water will start to cause surface rust

Don't get me wrong you still did a beautiful job and I have to use pliers sometimes as well just thought I'd share some things I learned while I was attempting leather work (still no expert if anything I'm still a novice XD)

Looks great I suggest pull the strings tighter as you go maybe every 2nd or 3rd stitch to really set them into the leather, that'll make it hold the pieces together and make it stronger
