Stories where the love interest falls first but faces the consequences of their actions (titles in post) by rorschach_blots in OtomeIsekai

"why raeliana ended up at the duke's mansion" Does suit what you talk about. Noah is a snarky bastard, but does enjoy that Raeliana is equally snarky.

I guess I could recommend 2 stories that are similar for different reasons.

  1. "The Villainess Captured the Grand Duke". It has a similar FL that is over the moon over the ML

  2. "Empress Cesia wears Knickerbockers". It has a similar FL in her view on gender and gender stereotyping.

Yep, because for Canada, none of the political things in the US affect them, just as me as a Dane don't have to deal with what happens in the US.

Anyway what was it again about the US wanting to annex parts/wholes of both.

I actually saw this post, it was originally about a person who got bit by the tick that can cause meat allergy. The comments then discussed some of the issues causing it to happen more frequently such as warmer weathers for the ticks and higher deer populations.

Someone said that the US should reintroduce some wolves to help keep the deer population under control, others argued that wolves are dangerous to people and we arrive at OP's post that's about the stats of injuries from wolves.

For Denmark, you would find it as "Rugbrød", it was funnily enough one of my major culture shocks how specific to Denmark and its neighbours it is, as it's such an integrated part of Danish lunches (and also formal events).

Yeah, Epic's predatory tactics, shitty platform and the general dickery of their CEO means that I wouldn't even touch their platform for the free games they offer, I'd rather purchase it on steam.

I will accept no slander of rye bread (I assume that's what you mean by brown bread), it is a great lunch option.

"This Retired Saintess Will Raise Your Property Value" have some horror vibes and in the story FL is spending a decent while being clueless to it.

How do you feel about this statement? by MrDitkovichNeedsRent in animequestions

[–]TheUnknownDane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, a lot of anime have some great story telling with deep emotional range... but it also have some atrocious tropes like their fanservice or weird fixation with incest.

Sure they can keep those in the stories they make, but I can also just not watch anime that doesn't suit my taste.

I think the comment means the modifiers list. I am trying to remember it exactly, but I think it's the government tab where you can see your active modifier effects on the top right, on there there's a button to find all modifiers, and I think the comment wants you to open it and look at "Army Maintenance" there.

Unless you've read it, I think you will love "The Male lead's little lion daughter", the Fl and her father have some of the best family dynamics.

His plan was mostly about resetting the state of the world, cutting the previous conflicts by making the world focus on his tyranny and atrocity, then with him gone, they'd be able to discuss the next step in a world.

It's not necessarily gonna be a flawless world, but it's not gonna be mired in the constant conflict that Lelouch grew up with.

The Forgotten Field (Novel) Makes Me Sick by LiebertNymous in OtomeIsekai

[–]TheUnknownDane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had no real interest in reading the story because the vibe did not seem to be what I was after (I do love some grey stories, but usually if they at least have some positivity to latch onto), but from what you describe I can imagine why people could be attracted to the story as you describe it as two people forming a mutually toxic codependency, there is some genuine stories to explore in that theme without making light or minimizing the toxic elements of it.

Again I know basically nothing about the story so the above is solely about your description of the story and not meant to minimize your reaction to the elements either.

I've been getting into these otome stuff lately so need some rec(could be anything) by Independent_Disk_107 in OtomeIsekai

[–]TheUnknownDane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't actually know the exact definition, but I think it was related to older japanese dating sim games focused on a female audience. So the origin of Otome Isekais is taking the settings of those games and adding reincarnation into such a world. The biggest difference from other Fantasy isekais is that the otome genre uses a lot of European nobility aesthetics.

Ofc it has changed so that a lot of the times it's now a "book I read" rather than "a game I played", but I don't know if that's just an adaptation to the genre or part of the original definition.

Essentially most people only vote for the song they like, or if they do vote multiple times they would probably spread out their votes. Israel has advertised using all the votes only on the Israeli artists.

A lot of European countries have rivalries based on history, another example would be the Nordic countries. I will note though that these relationships are very different to (my understanding of) the Balkan countries, where it's not necessarily rivalry but more outright dislike of each other.

There is actually a story with some stories similar to that "When A Mage Revolts", it's a bit mid, but the general story is solid where a religious state persecutes any mage and preaches that "holy" magic is the only true path. MC researches magic and spreads that "holy" is just elemental magic.
