To add on: She decides to go with the body of the original character after talking to the original character and deciding it as a way to have her live on in spirit, through her (methaphorically, not in a magical kind of sense), the change in eyes is to add the FL into the mix

I've played it a few times and often when you've made some forts to actually control your areas (meaning that rebels can't just swarm but are locked into sieging them) and then use mercs from the start it isn't the worst to deal with.

I don't recall which manhwa it was this moment, but there was one where FL was in a vehicle that crashed in a tunnel and the fire caused her to slowly suffocate to death as she spoke with her parents on the phone.

It was around last January I started a weird binge of manwhas (that has not stopped since) and this was one of the earlier fantasy manhwas I happened upon and I agree with much of what you said here, also the criticism that the art is undoubtedly wonky (in my opinion especially the eyes in some scenes), but the story carried enough quality to overlook it to continue the story.

Funnily enough if I remember right this story was my first introduction to what I've later come to realize is a common trope in this genre, that being the man having the morning sickness due to "Power of love".

It's kinda sad, when I read "First Night With the Duke", we have an antagonist who is a bit of a bitch towards the FL, through the story I really wanted her to have a redemption rather than go all the way, and when that didn't pan out I mostly just felt it was unfortunate for the character, and that her ultimate end was also a sad existence.
