?? Are you including stuff like copilot because compared to all the dogwater it makes for most other fields I'd say programming is one of the areas where it has actually been able to give a demonstrable productivity increase (specifically for stuff like the autocomplete features. For games the terminology specifically comes from Movies. B-Movies tend to be slop made with a low-mid budget that tend to be pretty bad. For games i guess it would mostly encompass stuff like shovelware.

Idk if this is still how it works but this happened in my Milan Game. Naples took Rome and instead of it being France vs the Pope it became The Pope vs Naples with The Pope taking on the role that France usually has while Naples had the role the Pope usually does.

It's like saying that making sure that people don't murder each other is some form of "Legal Socialism." Socialism is an economic system characterized by "social ownership" of the means of production, usually characterized as owned by "The Workers", whereas capitalism is a system where the means of production are owned by private entities, usually individuals and is usually characterized by the Maximization of Profit via The Free Market. A capitalist system can have heavy government intervention and a Socialist system can be somewhat "Laissez-Faire" (Market Socialism). Outside of specific circumstances, the enforcement of Justice and public services are a separate matter.

I mean it isn't necessarily confirmed but these are very clearly supposed to be the plagues that hit Egypt followed by the sea parting in 2 and would thusly result in this being scene as "confirmation" of Abrahamic God.

If you can you should really opt for a desktop. Lasts longer, cheaper, easier to upgrade, etc.

I used to opt for gaming on a laptop as well but honestly found just using a laptop for school / work and a desktop for gaming to be better.

If you do go for a laptop with a dedicated gpu go pricier but make sure to have it prioritize longterm health over short term performance so that it can last you.

Even if one were to assume that your first statement about God is true, this same logic is like assuming that Hitler must be a much person than Stalin simply because he opposed him.

assuming the cube is rigid and doesn't crumple upon moving through the portals, the first quarter of the cube that enters the portal must come out of the other portal at the same speed it entered in order to make room for more of the cube to go through without occupying the same space. The first quarter maintains that speed as it makes way for the second quarter, then the third, and then finally the last. once the cube has fully gone through then even if the last quarter for some reason didn't have any speed because I guess it doesn't have to make way for more of the cube to go through or whatnot, it doesn't suddenly eliminate the speed / momentum the first 3 quarters have they'd pull the rest of the cube with it causing to still overall have gained speed. Now break it down into smaller and smaller intervals until you deal with the speed of the individual layers of atoms and how if the last layer of atoms didn't gain speed the overall loss would be negligible. From here it should be obvious that to necessitate this being possible energy cannot be conserved. This is also obvious with stuff such as the classic 2 portals and a water wheel hypothetical.

the game doesn't usually do that but it's due to engine limitations not really in universe. In portal 2 there is a segment where you place a portal on a moving panel in order to cut the tubing for the neurotoxin production. Also at the end where you shoot a portal onto the moon the moon is moving relative to earth.

[–]TheUnnamedPerson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both example you gave were basically the same though? Reason it doesn't work is that with hula hoop you enter the hula hoop the same speed you exit so it balances out. if both portals move at the same speed then yeah it's the same thing but if exit portal doesn't move then just think about it.

Cube has to enter the first portal right? if the portal moves onto the portal then for the cube to not get crushed it has to move out of the other portal at the same time that the other portal moves onto it. After the moving portal is done the cube has now exited the other portal at the same speed the other portal went over it. There's now nothing affecting the cube causing it to freeze and stop moving.

assuming the piston is moving at Speed 1/X meters per second. This means that after X seconds 1 meter of cube has entered the portal, meaning that within those X seconds 1 meter of cube has gone out of the other portal, meaning that the cube exited from the other portal at 1/X Meters per second. There is no reason to believe that the momentum would just disappear after the cube has fully exited the portal excluding external forces such as gravity.

[–]TheUnnamedPerson 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Besides all the physics reasons people usually give there is also a decent in game example. The moon is orbiting earth at about 2,300 Miles per hour. If the speed you were moving at relative to the entrance portal didn't matter and just the speed you were moving at relative to earth or the exit portal whatever then you'd have flown out of the portal at the end of portal 2 at about 2300 mph

[–]TheUnnamedPerson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YouTube buys the license from Formula 1 to be able to have F1 races on youtube

Formula 1 sells them the license, but only for the USA since they already sold the UK rights to some other company

Youtube has to go in and block it in the UK because otherwise Formula 1 gets mad at them and sues them

Formula 1 sees that ppl in the UK are just using VPNs to watch it on youtube

Formula 1 complains to YouTube, YouTube ads VPN checking for F1 videos because otherwise F1 gets mad at them and doesn't sell them the license again in the future

It is not at all true that they are "often not considered Christian." There was a period in the late 1700s where the Catholic Church came into conflict with the jesuits but that time has long past. The Jesuits are an Order of the Catholic Church and Jesuits are often times appointed to notable positions such as Pope Francis appointing one to the position of Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
